We were 8-1-1 with Schroeder as the 2nd line Center (just in case anyone was wondering). #MoveKeslerToTheWing

Jesus, you don't think Raymond is a "real second liner" but you're sold on Schroeder and Hansen as 2/3 of a second line? Do you watch the games or just listen to the idiots on Vancouver sports radio?
- Couv19

Have you ever seen Raymond crash a net,or fight? Have you ever seen him lay out a player with a huge hit? I have seen Hansen do all of that. Get off your mom's computer before you get grounded for the week.

I have said it many times before I would like a true second line . If you see one on the Canucks let me know because we have been looking for years now.

Sedin Sedin Kesler
Burrows Schroeder Hansen
Raymond Trade Kassian
Volpatti Lappy Higgins

Trade Booth and prospect or pick for third line center.

- VANTEL

I actually like Booth but he is the Cnucks fourth highest paid forward at 4.25Million
Not sure there is much interest out there for Booth at that price
Maybe if the prospect had an amazing upside

Wow. Someone's a bit confrontational.

Schroeder has been setting up more chances than any player not named Sedin.

The "idiots" on the radio were advocating having Ebbett in his place at the start of the year—a few of them have changed their tune, but a few have still buried their heads in the sand....so I'm really not sure what you're going for with that comment.

Realisticly, i think they need to acquire a second line right winger with size and preferably a right hand shot with playmaking ability to balance there lineup , pretty much I see all there players being slotted in these positions as there playing now. Kesler is a 2nd line center in my mind. Unless Booth earns his ice time, I see Raymond as more of a 2nd line LW at this point, Raymond has earned it. As for Higgins, I dont see him as a second line player on a Stanley Cup contender, I know he was in 2011 when Samuelsson went down, but his production has never earned 2nd line minutes in my opinion, I think Higgins is 3rd 4th liner on this team offering depth scoring and grit on the boards.

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Raymond Kesler ??????
Booth Schroeder Hansen
Higgins Lapierre Kassian

If Kassian can add consistency to his game, i think he has the ability to be that player on the 2nd line,

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Raymond Kesler Kassian
Booth Schroeder Hansen
Higgins Lapierre Weise

I was unable to watch the game but is this not the type of game that Kassian was brought here for . The blues are big and tough and Zach comes out of the game with zero hits . I know he's young and still learning his way but he should be having a couple hits per game .

He was challenging guys all night to fight, no one would accept.

The whole team was turning the puck over, Zack had 3-4 glaring ones... but so did Edler. I hate how AV benches some guys and not others. Volpatti had an awful giveaway and I thought for sure he'd be riding the pine, but no, he's out the next shift.

Its frustrating because Kassian has power-forward potential but doesn't bring it on a consistant basis. I think he's the type of big player that needs to get more ice time and responsibility to get himself into the game. But if he doesn't start earning it, he'll never get it from Vigneault. Vigneault will move Weise up line the lineup before Kassian if Kassian doesnt start taking the body and being more of a physical presence out there, taking the puck to the net etc...

Been busy lately and haven't been able to watch any games, but by all accounts we're still plugging along and collecting points. Fosco, it looks like I took you to school last week in the pool?

Solid game last night.

The Canucks dominated and should have come out with 2 pts., but at the same time were lucky to get one.

Gotta hate those Sobotka type goals after your team has been controlling the play...

Who gets the nod for the Hawks game?

Berglund's goal... I called it at the game and no one believed me. They changed it after the game.

I wasn't happy with the Canucks effort last night, way too many mistakes.

This will be an easy 10 pointer... I got unlucky last week, should have won 8-2. 6 categories were tied or within 1 point.

2nd game in a row our goalies have let in a bad angle shot... do you excuse them because it was deflected?

I think Luongo will get the start against the Hawks, his career numbers are awesome against Chicago. Schneider's numbers arnt that great against Hawks shooters in his career, also Schneider hasn't played aswell as Luongo this season sofar. Going against the hottest team in the NHL to start the season, you have to go with your best goalie to this point. Luongo was dominant in his last shootout win against Chicago a few weeks ago.

I'm looking for him to turn into a Lucic type of player . There isn't a game where you don't notice him out there . Either by scoring fighting or just being a wiener . I know Kassian is a few years younger than Lucic but if he could model his game after him sky is the limit

Tough call, but I think you kinda have to.

Does Luongo save that Sobotka shot if it isn't deflected? Perhaps, but wasn't he screened a little too?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Kassian a healthy scratch tomorrow.

AV seems to have a boner for Weise.

edit: against Chicago, he might keep Kassian in the lineup

Very good, it's nice to have Booth back. Not surprised they waive Ebbett, he's 32 hasnt played much, Volpatti and Weise have younger legs and fight all the time. I think Ebbett will help the Wolves top 6 more then the Canucks 4th line spot duty with his skill set.
