Not A miller fan as you know so.I think hes a solid number one whos rarely out of position and he s generally had our number.Millers a high risk goalie without the natural skills of Hasik. Its just my opinion and it hasnt changed over the years hes been here.

In that year the entire team was playing defense in that they were QUICK, back checked, thought hard, played hard and Miller looked phenomenal, I mean they made some teams look STUPID in some games, it was a great team.

Right now, they have no hustle and trying to plug players into a role, I don't know about you, but when someone tells me to do something and I think it is wrong and I don't like it, I don't react well. Doesn't matter how much you get paid.

"typical Miller". List of how many goals were his fault (none). put him down saying hes not the solution. Its typical Homiedclown Miller bashing. Mask his dislike and then tell you thats not what he meant.

If today was "typical" Miller, then I want him to play like that every game, and we'll have a great chance to make the playoffs, not zero like he thinks.

We dont have a chance at making the playoffs if our team doesnt play a complete game, break down in our zone and give gifts to the other team.

Today had nothing to do with poor goaltending. Today wasnt even a bad game overall. It was a hell of a game. We had a handful of breakdowns which was significantly less than we have had in all other games individually. If we can start working on keeping those at a minimum we will start winning games.

- theblueandgold

typical miller, he was nails for 56 minutes of the game
made perhaps his best save of the season

team still lost

miller is not the problem
nor the solution

I have not had many issues with this season from him, in fact this is by far his best play since the first half of the year he won the vezina

yet still we are closer to the 15th place team in the east then 8th

vanek is putting up points like #99
Miller is finally playing like a top 6 goalie again and the team (frank)ing sucks

I actually just said a little while ago that I really can't see any way that he'll re-sign
He's constantly hung out to dry
If we don't make some changes defensively I wouldn't blame him for wanting to leave
I wouldn't even be surprised if he asks for a trade at this point

- jdfitz77

Trade him to the Sharks for Jumbo Joe and build for next year. Then he can hang out with his wife.Trade Myers for an up and coming One B goalie.

Cam Ward has only gotten his team to the playoffs once. The year he won the Cup doesn't count, because he wasn't the #1 that year. So, I have to disagree with you here. Miller is a big part of the reason we've made it there. Ward can't say that.
- HonkFortheGoose

I actually like Ward a lot. He gets pounded like Miller does year after year, yet Carolina has had a below average team since their cup run. IMO Ward wins the cup if he's on the Kings last year.

They have Niemi. They're not going to be interested in Miller.

Hodgson & Weber are both restricted,
So unless there's an offer sheet they will both be back

- jdfitz77

They SHOULD both be back, I agree.

Man it would be good to have O'Reilly on this team and then we could get Hecht to hand out the oranges during the intermissions

Buffalo has had a below average team since a year after that as well. Yet Miller has managed to help them get into the playoffs a few times and Ward has managed it only once.

Don't get me wrong, he's not a terrible goalie. I just think he's overrated.

That's 100% on the coach.

Why exactly did Jochen Hecht have more TOI today than Foligno??

Because the coach has lost his stuff and needs to go.

- HonkFortheGoose

I agree with you on Hecht
Disagree when in regards to the defense though
IMO, only Ehrhoff and Myers would play top4 minutes on a good team
The rest of our defensemen are all bottom pairing guys for a contender...
But what's Ruff gonna do?
He has no choice but to play some guys more than they can be successful and put them in situations where they're bound to fail
Another good example...
Everyone on our team besides Ott is horrible at faceoffs,
But Ruff can't have him take all the draws

I got banned earlier for having this argument with a guy. At 466 shots its a war of attrition at that point. Even if they could pluck the hottest goalie out of thin air, what would be the point? Its like putting the best race car driver in the slowest car in the field and expecting great results.

I personally think we have been better than Carolina since 07. They are just now getting a solid core of guys in their that they can build around.

Sabres Garth Bloggers the past 6-7 yrs:

It's been the same types of post the past 7 years around here, everyone gets pissed and blames - Miller, Darcy, Ruff, Quinn (now Black), Roy (now Pommer, myself included).

We are all passionate Buffalo sport fans and frustrated with the direction of our teams the past decade!

Will we ever see the Cup or Lombardi trophy down Delaware?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

It pains me to say this, but Hecht was 14 of 19 today. Cody has been better but had a rough day on the dot. The team finished the day at 50%. Ott had 38%.

BTW, looking that up made me even more angry. Why in the world was Jochen even taking that many faceoffs in the first place????

if ruff stays and no big moves are made, where do you see this team finishing in the NE division?

In the exact same place they are now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the other 4 teams send them a letter saying that they're not allowed to be in the division because they're so bad.

2nd. but 9th in the standings. Come'on you know how this ends, MTL, OTT, and TOR fall off and we make a run to 9th. That is where Ruff and this team belongs

Wow, that surprises me about Hecht... Maybe he's coming around?
He's been pretty bad over his career though
I think around 45%
