He wasn't really blaming Miller. He basically said the result would be the same whoever was back there. Indicating that the team itself was the problem.

Maybe I'm reading it differently than you though.

"typical Miller". List of how many goals were his fault (none). put him down saying hes not the solution. Its typical Homiedclown Miller bashing. Mask his dislike and then tell you thats not what he meant.

If today was "typical" Miller, then I want him to play like that every game, and we'll have a great chance to make the playoffs, not zero like he thinks.

We dont have a chance at making the playoffs if our team doesnt play a complete game, break down in our zone and give gifts to the other team.

Today had nothing to do with poor goaltending. Today wasnt even a bad game overall. It was a hell of a game. We had a handful of breakdowns which was significantly less than we have had in all other games individually. If we can start working on keeping those at a minimum we will start winning games.

ask pittsburgh if we are tougher to play against. glass, kunitz and sutter will attest to that.

Look at the Kings to start this year.
I disagree. Same problems as last year.
Having trouble scoring goals and Quick looks like a 1 hit wonder right now.
Against good teams he looks awful.
Sabres get in which I think they will. Sky's the limit.

- TerryPegs

Quicks a good goalie better then Miller.Stanley Cup Hangover and theyre playing a surging Hawks.

It was actually a pretty entertaining game. It was another close one though. That's the problem. There's too many of these where we come out on the wrong side of the result.
- HonkFortheGoose

I really don't think they're as bad as they're playing right now, and it looks almost like a "baby steps" approach. There have been games this year where they just simply looked lost. That seems to be going away. The problem is, by the time it does, it will most likely be too late.

Makes sense. I don't think he really had a chance on any of the goals. I'm pretty sure most of them were deflections right in front and goalies usually aren't going to get those.

This team is just so frustrating right now. It really is.

I agree I see little improvements game by game now but by the time it's all figured out it will be too late and that's why it's so frustrating that Darcy insists on staying the course.

The problem is that I don't think any sort of trade would help much as far as this season's record is concerned. Any move that is made should be for next season and beyond.

Quick had back surgery and probably isn't 100% right now. They also are missing some big pieces on their defense. It makes a huge difference.
- HonkFortheGoose

They look like the same team this year as they did in the 1st half of last season.
Which is what my original point was. They got hot at the right time and their goaltender did.
By no means are the Kings an overly talentd team IMO. The start to this season is evidence of that.

No. Girgensons. You're complaining we don't have any leadership here, yet you're ready to throw away the guy that could be a captain. But he's garbage. So we'll just throw him out with the trash.
- HonkFortheGoose

Wow
It's one thing to disagree with me
It's another thing to be a jerk
I have NEVER said Girgensons was "garbage"
What I did say is...
A) he's years away from contributing
B) I doubt he'll be a 20goal scorer here since his high in the USHL is ONLY 24
C) I'd rather give him up than ennis, since ennis is proving to be a valuable scorer and we frankly don't know what Girgensons will become
D) I consider him a good prospect & you have to give up something valuable if u want to get a guy like O'reilly

Please don't put words in my mouth
ESP things that I came nowhere close to saying
I've always been respectful to u
That's all I ask in return
Whether we agree or not

Typical Miller would have actually fallen apart after those 2 quick goals. He actually rebounded really nice. That tells me his head is in the right place right now.

McNabb has racked up 3 goals and 24 assists in Rochester. That's where he's disappeared to. He also won the hardest shot contest at the AHL all star game.
- HonkFortheGoose

Myers has played well next to true "stay at home" defenders (like Tallinder and Regher) and struggled with offensive d-men (like Leopold), because Myers is an offensive d-man at heart.

He'll never be Pronger, Chara, or Shea Webber. He's a beanpole. The only guy that Tyler Myers has ever "roughed up" is Danny Briere... Go figure.

But he's a natural fit with a guy like McNabb, I really don't know what's taking our GM so long to figure that out.

I don't think it is. Terry Pegula seems to be hell-bent on the "great working environment equals great results" approach. He's not interested in firing people.

Pommer has one bad game and hes a bad captain ? Some people like him some dont thankfully the fans dont chose. He probably had the worst game of his career today so I think thats a bit harsh.I did notice he seemed to be having a game with Crosby all day Im wondering if it was on purpose to divert the attention off Vanek. All in all great game against a team we typically have trouble with and mirror in alot of ways.Crosby called the game an even one Id agree.
- buffalo 1

It's more than one bad game for me
I tried to explain to homer why I don't like him as captain
A good player doesnt necessarily make a good captain if u get what i mean?
Let me put it this way...
What do u think makes him a good captain?

It sucks they lost, but that was a good game to watch this morning, I felt like they were in that game, they just were not ready to start the game, but they got back into it, but to give away 2 goals so cheaply early on is damn frustrating and just put s you right behind it.

The thing is every game there always seems a couple of players that just out and out SUCK and disappear during the game. Pomminville was bad today, Stafford his usual soft self, trying to tippy toe around, hoping no one notices him, it is sad that Gerbe actually is more physical than Drew Stafford, really sad. Hecht just kills me, the biggest waste of a roster spot in the history of Pro sport I reckon, a young kid could possibly be scoring some points and getting game time, but we have iron hands on board
