Pommer was dreadful today. It seems like someone always manages to sh*t the bed on this team; if it's not one guy, it's another. I thought we played well enough to get at least a point. Despite letting in 4 goals, Miller was pretty good today, which sounds crazy, but which one of those goals would you like back? This team has no problems scoring, but the defense if beyond dreadful and that includes the forwards.

I thought he played one of his best games of the year today though

Still shouldn't be on the powerplay. Myers should be there. Gerbe is an AHL player and has 6 goals in his last 73 games. Someone should be fired for having him on any powerplay.

I know Ott scored today but the main difference between Buffalo being a decent team and a terrible team is any sort of contribution from the bottom two lines.

Dupuis scored twice today. Balanced scoring is something that Pitt does really well and it equates to a lot more wins.

I don't think Miller is the issue. They should re-sign him at maybe 4 years $20 mill before next season. If they don't, they will regret it when he has a huge year prior to the Olympics. His price tag will be enormous if they don't re-sign him before next season.

That being said, he would fetch a big return, in my opinion, but his replacement cannot be Enroth.

Miller again was the only reason we were close. LA Kings beat CBJ the other night, guess how many shots the Kings let up? 14. Let Miller get 18-25 shots per game on him and he will be a Vezina candidate again. This "system" of letting your goalie get pounded for 60 minutes will never get us anywhere

If Kaleta was on the ice, that winning goal would have never happened. He would have blocked the shot, not screened Miller.

I would agree with this after the Hab's/Florida games last week but not today. They actually played a decent game against one of the top teams in the entire league today.

You don't see guys taking shift after shift off. You think they played hard for 60 minutes? Not me...no effort from to many key player. Pommer should have been sat after that defensive zone turnover. Grow a set Lindey and send a fin message. It wasn't bad enough he had one fin hand on the stick near the blue line when he first cought it up. How soft was he along the boards ten seconds later when he did his token drive by. And who made the Pens such a great team, that we are suppose to be happy lossing to them at home ? Lindey has the tools they just won't go to battle for him. Give me 18 Ott's or atleast the effort that even Gerbe put out today and we blow them out.
