Can't say I disagree about Sulzer and Ehrhoff, they are weak defensively and in front of the net, and it shows
- sbroads24

team would be better off with 3 puck moving d men up here and pardy, weber and mcnabb or pysyk then this groupIMO

If Kaleta was on the ice, that winning goal would have never happened. He would have blocked the shot, not screened Miller.
- sippyd

Kaleta was all over the place today..

You can't possibly think that last goal is his fault. It was top corner and deflected off Ehrhoff. Not to mention Hoff made a wicked nice screen for Martin
- sbroads24

where did I say it was his fault?

typical game was all I said

I don't think the puck was tipped either

I've more then likely been around it longer then most here.
The team put forth a very good effort today and was very unlucky on the last goal. Miller never saw it.
A few bounces that dont seem to be going Buffalo's way yet and this game would have been over long before in Buffalo's favor.
Talk about the positives but I know most here just love to female dog about the negatives like a bunch of women.
Miller was outstanding again.
I like what Ott did at the end.
Start there.

Doubt it, once you said bounces I stop reading.

Good game though. Although it would of sucked if they got a point, it would of been exciting if the Sabres tied it up.

So in closing it's Millers fault because of his contract and typical play

Sulzer needs to sit, I could care less what his +/- is. He is a wreck in his own end and in front of the net, it's like he's not even there

Time to clean house. I have been a a Ruff supporter, but if thats the best effort you can get out of your top line especially your captain. It's time. I have never seen a pro team at any leval with so many player with one hand on the stick and so little care or desire. It makes me sick to see these guys take shift after stift off. Ruff has to go. They clearly aren't playing for him.

IMO Leopold is the one that can't leave fast enough. If he's not scoring or getting the puck to the net he is doing ZERO on this team.

He certainly isn't getting paid for defense.

bringing in scott and ott, along with a healthy kaleta will bring more of those plays to sabre games IMO
it's how the team responds that matters

sabres have no business competing with the pens and they did

That's the problem they did compete so nothing will change.

I would agree with this after the Hab's/Florida games last week but not today. They actually played a decent game against one of the top teams in the entire league today.

honest question

120 more games of Miller and back to back 10th in the east or move Miller and have blah goalies and finish 13th in the east

in the end, does it really matter?

Either Leopold Siulzer or Weber need to go. They all suck. Weber like predicted has quickly become a non factor and a liability. On the ice for 2 goals today I believe. But all is good because he hits once and a while.

I thought the D played ok given it was the pens playing at a fast pace for most of the game

I thought our centers played like crap and turned the puck over way too much

- homiedclown

I was more referring to team defense,
But the thing about being a defenseman is that u can play solid for 59+ min, but if u make a couple bad mistakes that end up in your net...
Well, then u really didnt do your job
And there is no mistaking the FACT that our defensemen do not do their job

It's like an O-lineman that successfully blocks a great pass rusher on 30 pass plays,
But the 3 times he whiffs and gives up a sack are amplified and inexcusable

I know that might not exactly be fair,
But that's how it goes

And I have no problem criticizing the mistakes when I see such a weak, non-chalant effort...
Embarrassing
