Avs need Erik Johnson and Ryan Wilson to get healthy. But even when they are the Avs still have ZERO goals from their back end. Almost impossible feat to accomplish 12 games in.

Missed the game and just watched the highlights.

Just awessome Adams scoring 2 in one night and Dupuis 2 in the other. Just shows how our team is built!

Malkin had a few chances while with Crosby and Neal but couldn't capitalize.

In all reality, Dupes is a third line guy that happens to have chemistry with Kunitz and Sid. He isn't your prototypical first line guy at all. He works very hard for everything he gets. He is a very under appreciated guy here.

Just to elaborate on that proposal I made last night. I don't think the timing of Letang's contract would work. If Letang had one more year on his deal than he does, it would buy Pens another season to develop Despres and Morrow. Because he doesn't the Penguins don't have luxury of moving 58.

Exactly. If you are entertaining the notion of dealing Letang, you better have his replacement ready to go. While Despres has a high ceiling and has shown some good stuff, he needs more experience. As for Morrow, he would need to prove he belongs in the NHL before you deal Letang.

While that is value for value ... you can't afford to trade Letang now.

Discipline has been an issue since October 2009. Truly unacceptable selfish penalties on a gamely basis. Usually by our best players (not really Sid but he certainly had one today).

Nothing specific happened in that month. It was just the first month they started playing after winning it all. I didn't mean to be super specific with the time frame but there clearly has been an issue with boneheaded penalties for some time now.

The biggest concern right now I have is that the PP runs better with 7 and not 58. That is concerning to me when trying to decide if you are gonna pay a guy 7M/year.
