Q panic-changing lines...?

As I understand it, a penalty shot is awarded when a player with a clear path to the goalie is fouled from behind and is prevented from getting an attempt on the goalie. If the player gets an attempt (however weak) off, it is a penalty if the attempt doesn't score. If no attempt, penalty shot.

As for Hossa, he's built like a brick $hit house. Who would want to hit him?

Thanks for the clarification. I thought it was something along those lines, but I had the same question PRD has, did he really get an attempt off? Clear path to the goalie, that may be where they saw no penalty shot, no idea though. Just didn't know the rules 100%.

And no, haha, I would not like to hit Hoss. But just never even a slight push. I think it may be a mixture of both, but if you're gonna protect the goalie and protect the area in front of the net, you need to hit anyone and everyone to get them out.
