Scary moments in today's AHL game between Springfield and Adirondack. Game suspended after Falcon Wade MacLeod collapsed, convulsed on ice.

This game clearly illustrated the need for a big fourth line. If the Hawks and Kings were to meet in a seven game playoff series the Kings would almost certainly wear the Hawks down physically. I’m wondering now if a big physical defenseman may not be required as well. That said great two and a half periods to get the win.

The Kings are big and slow; make them chase the puck like they did in the first 2 periods and they will never beat the Hawks. Fall asleep in the 3rd and take 4 bad penalties and the Kings will make a game of it. Worst lead in hockey: 3-0.

Getting Carcillo back will help. I still think getting Chris Neil would be a great move. He really steps up in the playoffs, too. You always see him getting involved

Good to hear.

Again...4th line was effective when out there..reason the Kings took over was we lacked discipline and CHOKED. Hard for the 4th line to get rolling when they're on the bench watching the pk unit.

I still don't get why they get passive in the 3rd period with a lead??Even the 2010 team had that problem from what I remember...I'm not saying go out there and run&gun,but playing passive offensively in the third period is what is getting them in trouble in my opinion...1-2-2 is trouble for this team...

But overall,good win,they outplayed the Kings for the most part,but hopefully Carcillo coming back will give them more of an edge..Carcillo Bickell,and maybe add another big guy who likes to finish his checks and I think they might have something

So as Kane - trying to do too much - seemed to turn the puck over a lot.

But the box score doesn't show any "GV" for him - what actually constitutes a giveaway?

I agree. He is one of the best 2-way forwards and a great example to young forwards to always pay attention to D, too, but he can be a bit streaky and never has been known to be money in the playoffs.

I've been disappointed in his point/goal production since he got here. I said it 3 years ago, I'll say it now...he's one of the best all around, 3 zone players in the league, but for $5.25 I expect more scoring. Love everything he does do, and like Philco, I respect him for all the little things he does right, just think he needs to light the lamp more.

Totally agree with you there, he's a great guy to have around but when he isn't scoring consistently it's frustrating because he has everything you need to be an elite scorer in this league.
