I think you often overvalue players based on AHL performance. I would rather keep both as well, but playing well with a partner in the AHL doesn't mean anything really.

The other day Ek had a blog up that mentioned a Coyotes Dman as someone the Sabres had interest in. If it were Yandle how much do you think the price would be and who would you be willing to trade for him?

Never understood why Yandles name comes up in trade rumors. Good player still improving with a good long term contract. Exactly the kind of guy you want to keep around.

If that was the case then I would love Luke Adam and Mark Mancari. And I don't. I also didn't like MacArthur and thought Kennedy was overrated.

There's 3 guys I wouldn't want to give up from the farm. Pysyk, McNabb and Girgensons.

I haven't seen enough of Armia play to have anything to really comment on, so I don't think I'd be upset if he got sent the other way to be honest.

If they want an offensive defenseman we can send them Gauthier-Leduc though.

You know what I find amusing, everyone says that we don't know what if guys like McNabb and Pysyk are going to hit their potential, but at the same time, people around here are ready to throw $5 mil and a poop ton of players at O'Reilly who may never put up better than the 55 points he had last year. There's no guarantee with him just like there's no guarantee with the prospects. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I think it's because you seem like you're actually an Amerks fan too so you have an attachment to their players. I hope for the Amerks to do well, but I wouldn't call myself a fan. I periodically check up on the players I think are intriguing to the big club. Just a different viewpoint is all. Not saying one or the other is better or worse. You being a fan are probably much better to give an opinion about which prospects to keep. I just think ROR would be worth breaking up an AHL D pairing that may never even make it to the NHL (at least not as a pair).

I know Homie is a big fan of Flynn and I like what he's done for Rochester so far, but I don't know that he'll ever be an NHL player. He was undrafted for a reason. Now, I know you can find guys like that (Matt Read for example), but it's a lot less likely.

Out of the entire Amerks roster, the only 3 players that I wouldn't want to move are the ones that I already said. And that's because I think they really have the potential to be impact players for the big club.

Thats more of what I meant. I also don't get how people can claim to know what Ennis's ceiling is yet know for a fact ROR will be a better player. Not singling anyone out

I actually said yesterday at the game that he deserves the A. After listening to his post game presser after the last Boston game, he certainly sounds like a leader in the locker room.

No chance he is "head and shoulders better" than Yandle. He may be as good if he stops tripping over his own feet. Yandle has scored over 40 points the last 3 seasons including 59 one year and was a +33. Myers was a +18 with 1 40 point season. I know Myers is younger and less experienced, but his declining stats from season to season are disconcerting. Yandle is way more reliable.
