My dad asked me how the Flyers look tonight. I said, "Like a stripper working at 10 am on a Tuesday"

The Gustafsson effect. Montreal spending too much time watching his skills.

Two periods of low energy play. And a less then exciting PP. But it's still a 1 goal game. Flyers need to find some energy and elevate their game. Who is the catalyst on this team? Who is going to lead and energize the team in the 3rd period?

The Flyers must be too worn down from covering for him on defense and chasing his bad passes.

She figures she just has to be there. No reason to bring her pole A game.

Flyers are in this game. Only need one to get this tied up.

But....what about after the Habs score prior to the 15 minute mark?

Didn't think I would see a Flyers team as bad as the 07-08 team for awhile, but sure enough is definitely on par with them. The ONLy bright spot of this team so far as been Bryz and the experience McGinn is getting.

On a positive note....
B. Schenn is way over pace to break Hartnell's record for falls for a season. Averaging slightly over 6 a game. The kid has the balance of a 13 y/o girl carrying heavy luggage.

Best player tonight is Boucher. He's getting stronger as the game goes on.

Nope. He was too busy fixing his tie.

That goal was pure Flyers hockey...Shoot and hope it has eyes, while the rest of the NHL look up and pick apart the Flyers.

See- I'll tell you what happened. I'll educate you. Take a seat....

What happened there is similar to the "Wagon Wheel Effect" that you see on car commercials. Ya know- ya see the commercial and you ask yourself, "Self, how come the car is clearly driving forward but the wheels look like they're going backwards!!?" Well the reason for this has to do with the speed of the wheel's rotation. It's so fast that our brains perceive it as slowly going backwards.

Briere shot that puck SO FAST that our brains perceived it as a flub, moving a few mph.

Now you know

Lavi had the right idea. Put 6 out on the ice and see if we can score. Unfortunately he got caught. Damn it!
