If Wang sells this team....drinks are on me fellas.
- potvin05

Judging by the process and difficulty of said process as demonstrated by other teams around the league over the past few years, I won't allow myself to get excited until it is publicly announced and acknowledged by BOTH parties involved, post-NHL/Bettman approval that this team is being sold. Right now this rumor is about as valid and likely as an E5 on this blog. It's great if it's true but John Spano has taught us all to be weary of a suitor and a dream.

Almost forgot, tonight's game is going to be a snooze fest

Hopefully NJ is tired from rallying against Philly last night.
Hopefully, the Isles don't match their intensity. Here's where a coach earns his money.
If we don't come out on-f'in-FIRE, this joke-assed chowder head and his ill-fitting wardrobe REALLY, really needs to go.

Indeed I get Wang does not want a high payroll but he sure is not acting like he is in this for the long term.

Of course it does. Winning team in Brooklyn or a Winning team in West Heampstead?? Hmm let me think where the big money is going. Like I said just look at the Nets
- Vukota

The problem is they weren't a winning team in Jersey so there's no way to compare the two. Big money may have very well gone to a winning team in New Jersey, but we'll never know.

Agree. No excuse to not come out flying tonight. Anything less and something needs to change

He needed to go 3 months into last season.

You make good points but nobody is going to convince me West hempstead makes the Islanders more valuable then being in Brooklyn. Just announcing the move raised the value of the team alone. What does that tell you?
- Vukota

But was it the move or the stability that the move represented? I'm another one who just doesn't get the whole Brooklyn hype thing, but hey, if it means they stay in the area I'm all for it.

I think it was the move. Not sure stability really factors in when you're selling a team. Most times the team gets moved from the city when they relocate so how much stability plays a roll I'm not sure

and West Hempstead is??
- Vukota

Nobody outside of New York knows a thing about West Hempstead, but if confering with non new yorkers, Brooklyn is looked at as a dump. Justified or not, that's the perception. I worked for many years as a Fraud Investigator for a credit card company and can tell you that no area showed up on my reports more than Brooklyn. I'm talking nation wide.

I don't where you come up with some of this stuff Brooklyn's Image is much better today then it was 10-15 years ago. I can't believe you're gonna debate whether Brooklyn brings more potential then W. Hempstead. I can't continue this convo anymore. I said my piece and I'm done. Too each his own I guess

It's image is better to people who are close enough to know better but for the rest of the world ... No
Just like Camden Nj. They've made vast improvements there but the overall perception is still heavily negative. I guess you need to be outside the fishbowl to understand.

Exactly. It's not the 80's anymore and moms and pops are way more wary of my hunting tactics. Its a big time business now and I'm all about exposing these at-risk kids. In a perfect world staying on the Island would provide the best hunting grounds but the reality is my white panel van is no longer incognito enough to compete with the big boys

All Asian people? Do you have any statistics to back this statement? I have a friend we call crazy Charlie and he cares for nothing but cocaine and hookers. I'm not sure Crazy Charlie was part of the survey that generated those numbers.

Crying? I just laugh at you because you have no idea what wang is going to do with the team and you come on here like you have a clue. Of course you're gonna try and shoot down any reputable report or hint that comes out about Wang selling the team because it goes against everything you've been saying. Then when Gallof sends out a tweet with no hint of the truth and you're telling every body "you see I told you" So like I said enough already
