I think both Mayfield & Pedan are 2-3 yrs away
- Ur Not Me

2-3 years that long yikes? What were they 15 when drafted? I would be fine in including one of them in a trade for Yandle.

It has to start now before we have other Nino's starting to ask out. Snow has to do whatever he has to do to get Wang on board with making noves.
- ses111

Nino will be up by yrs end or def start by nxt season.
its was all a diseaster bc of no future home, finally that has been resolved,
so now Snow/Wang will proceed to make team better, bc it only builds up the value

D takes longer to develop, plus their not even in bridgeport yet. so if neither in bridge by nxt yr, add anoher yr for developing, thats the process this team needs to take to build up a players confindence, unless we are loaded with veteran talent, which wont be the case.....

theres definitely some players on this list Isles should target in off-season to improve team......and it will only cost money....
I would trade assets for the likes of Yandle, im all for trading Streit, Viz, KO, Bailey, Frans, Amac, Nabby, Boyes, Grabner to bring in better players...obviously only few would be draft picks, but packages could bring in something better.
we all have to realize that we have kids in the system who might be ready in a yr or 2 and we need to make roster room.

I always could see Iginla on this team..as a vet presence. Who knows if they are in the running. Bailey, Frans, Boyes, Grabner I would keep though. I see Bailey being one of our best in the next yuear or two...late bloomer.

I think Snow wanted Duchene
- mighty13duck

there was never a doubt - Snow wanted JT the entire way.

The media are a bunch of clowns, hype everything into a buncha bullpoop. JFJ and MLSE were going around telling everyone they were going to sign Tavares to a major league deal right out of junior and skip the draft... Media are fags.

You're forgetting one huge factor....Garth doesn't trade. We would need a cosmic alignment to occur and 12/12/12 has already passed.
- jmo16

he didnt trade for economic reasons, do think that it will soon change, bc now the isles have more assets

if Wang is shopping the team, he's not going to spend a dime on this roster. Doesn't make any sense - won't get the return on the investment. The Isles are going to fill the voids with mediocre talent and ride it out till Brooklyn.

agreed, JT was the dominant choice from day 1, just that Snow didnt reveal anything, so the clowns started to speculate bc they needed something to write

Rather have Perry....

we have alot of wingers in the system, Nino, Persson, Sundstrom, Nelson, Kabanov, A.Lee, Petrov (if he comes over)
we need to make room somehow

believe Bailey could bring back value

Brooklyn already raised their value, adding better quality talent, and team winning adds value also,bc attendance will increase.....its all about money, need to spend to make

Perry-Tavares-Moulson

would be the most dominate line in the NHL

I understand a new arena raises their value, that's a given but Wang is bleeding money every season. If I recall correctly last season alone he lost just over 10 million. Wang's motives are clear - he's waiting it out. He's not going to reward Nassau with a good team, don't kid yourself. There's no love lost between the two parties. Isles will be mediocre at best until Barclays.

I agree. While making the playoffs would be very nice I doubt this team can go far and I'd rather not let guys go for nothing like PA.
- ses111

They tried to resign PA... he opted out!!!

That's why they kept him around.

But he thought he didn't need Tavares and Moulson anymore!!!

Adding Yandle sounds great to me. I would think guys like Pedan and Mayfield have to be closer but if they are not ready I'm fine with waiting.
- ses111

Coyotes aren't going to trade yandle

I'm sure they already have a deal in place to sell it.

He's not going to pay back thatvloan out of his pocket.

He needs to sell the team to cover that money he owes!!!

question......would you become a season tixx holder with the present team?
prob not, bc the team lacks talent. but if Wang added talent to roster, attendance will be alot better then this current rate, thats the prob.
this is my 1st yr in a while i didnt go back to a season tixx holder, bc of was getting irked of the mediocre roster, and the BS of goods.

He needed to be moved before the deadline. He seems to be doing well in Colorado. He's gone so I'm not losing sleep over it. Still does not change the fact he should have been moved instead of getting nothing for him. If the Isles could sign quality FA's they can afford to let guys go for nothing.

Man it's hard to wait for these picks. It feels like they were drafted 5 years ago. Maybe they can bypass Bridge?

answer: it's been like this for 9 years... People are still buying tickets. Until Wang sells the team, it will be nothing more than the Island of Misfit Toys. I can't stress this enough.

Snow does not have the tools to build a winning franchise. He does not know how/when to trade, sucks at signing/resigning players, hires idiots for coaches, and doesn't know how to evaluate/develop talent. That being said, I'd say we're (frank)ed.

Potvin I think the Isles need to do better than Streit. They need to start aiming higher and bringing in better quality vets. I would also like to see JT be captain.
- ses111

Yes...starting now. They have a destination finally, and some young players UFAs would want to play with. Look at what happened after the Pens drafted Crosby and then Malkin and then players around the league saw what those guys did their first couple of seasons and said, "damn, I'd like to play with those guys." I believe we have that now with Tavares, which is why I think it makes it even more important to show the rest of the NHL we can compete. UFAs will want to play here and then, hopefully, we enter our new state-of-the-art arena with 1 or 2 playoff seasons in our cache.

I think Streit is a positive influence on the team. In the locker room and on the power play. Is he a good "defense"man? No. Some of you are holding him to standards that he's not at anymore. And, really only was for 2 seasons. If we do fall out of contention, then, see ya...Get a 2nd and a B prospect for him at the trading deadline.
