They are not moving Girgensons. Period. He's only 18 and was doing very well till he got hurt. - sippyd
He really wasn't playing fantastic or anything, though. I think he was a -1 and didn't even crack double digit points before he got hurt. I know he's young but keeping him could create a log jam for our centers in a year or two if we got O'Reilly. I'd prefer to keep Girgensons but I just think Colorado is going to want a top prospect in return.
he only takes draws sometimes but then switches back to wing - joshs
i have noticed that...i go to a few sabres games a year and ya, ott does seem more suited as a winger. Still, he's a nails checking centre if you could find a 1st liner. Our 3rd liner is either kadri or bozak. Those 2 really strike fear into other centres i'm sure.
Ott would be a fantastic 3rd line centre in a playoff run

89 we are in on O'Reilly for sure. - sabresfandan
I know but we aren't getting him. The Avs have all the leverage and with the other teams ( as many as 7) interested, why would the Avs take a deal that involves Ennis. If a team like the Sens, Flyers or Leafs want him bad enough the Avs will raise the stakes. No way Darcy rips the team apart for O'Reilly.

Columbus has the best arsenal to get him. I know he's in the West, but it may not matter with the realignment plan, which will be ratified sooner or later.

One of those 1st round picks goes along way, Darcy won't pay a high price for O'Reilly, I think he could be the next Drury and may be worth it but that's my opinion.

That is the problem with us Sabres fans!
We fall in love with these players, and they become untradeable!
Even Gretzky got traded! - Sabresfan88
Half of us fall in love, the other half is blinded by hate that they don't see a really good player in front of them. Ennis 15gp 12pts. That works out to a 70 pt season, and he's been on that steady pace since the last 30 games of last year.

Well I think he was just originally playing wing since Hodgson was down in the beginning of the season playing 1st line center and Adam had 2nd line. I just assumed they would move him to center next year but he could just end up playing wing for the rest of his career.
