He gave Calgary a list of five or maybe just three teams he is willing to go too. And they are all elite teams and have been. I just don't think he would ok a trade to buffalo, as I don't see them as one of the top elite teams in the league. He will not sign with Calgary after this year so he is gone anyways, so they will want to try to get at least something for him. Bos, Pitt, Philly, van, maybe a couple others, that's where he will land and I don't think it will be for ad much as people think because he will just be a rental.
I look at iggy the same way I did ray bourque being traded to Colorado, and I feel Calgary fans should too, as watching ray hoist the cup with the avalanche was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in my life, I was younger and he was a god, and no player was ever more deserving, being honest, I had tears on my face.
That is what iggy is to Calgery, and that is why he will being going to one of only a few teams, and I don't tend to think buffalo is one of them. Sorry, but I've been wrong before. - JIwasinskiJr
according to whom, there is a very good chance he re-signs...guy is gonna play 5+ more years in the league his conditioning is top notch

Ok, then Maybe im wrong. But why would he? I think it's very very unrealistic to think that Calgary is capable of winning a cup within five years with the team they have now. They need to rebuild. And an aging hall of famer that will likely retire within three years that wants to win a cup and can't carry the team on his back like years past and has had a few injuries.......we will see how bad he wants to win a cup.

If he plays the season out then I could see him signing a short-term one or two year deal with a contender and then finishing with Calgary again depending on how long he can and wants to play for.

Hugely weird off-topic question, but what ever happened to Shirokov?

Got called up a few years ago to play a game or two, scored a goal on the second line then got sent back down, was later traded to Florida that season and signed to play in the KHL the next off-season. Never really got a fair shot IMO, but then again he was a second liner or nothing type of player.
Funny...I'm not really having a problem with trading Enroth. Don't know if he's hurt but just not showing me anything.
We do have David Leggio waiting in the wings...kids good! - Skeezix459
Good AHL goalie , not great . Gives up fat rebounds . Those rebounds will end up in the net in the NHL . Reminds of another Buffalo product that played for the Amerks and had good AHL Stats - Tom Askey . Don't let your love of local kid , cloud your judgement of his NHL potential
Only somewhat surprising player on your list is Little, but I'm not a big fan of him myself. Too streaky and useless when he's not putting up points. - Nucker101
Yeah he doesn't hit and he has hands of stone. I'd much rather have a guy with heart in our lineup then him.

Iginla is only going to go to a winning team buffalo isn't a winning team and has no chance of making the playoffs.

No chance huh?
Well thank you Nostradamus.
I'll just tell the Sabres to hang the skates up because some poster on Hockeybuzz said that you have no chance on making the playoffs.
