it would be a waste to go get iginla. As you said we more than that and we would lose pieces for the future.. we need to remove ruff from his duties and clean house to start over young. Move players you feel you wont resign regardless of their name (miller, vanek, pommer, leopold, kaleta, enroth, hodgson) i don't care.

Either way you free up 7 million in cap space for next year on a gamble that could work out.

It's a gamble that potentially frees up 7 million in cap space for next year.

Look at it this way, would you prefer getting Iginla or keeping Stafford, Sekera and Enroth for 2 more years beyond this year?

And even if Iginla is done after this year, you now have his 7 million cap to play with to find a better solution.

very weak QB class...I'm sure one or two will shine at some point, but I dont wanna guess at which ones those will be and pass on a more sure thing at 8.

This is the perfect year to trade back(which I say every year) get more picks
