We don't even have a rivalry anymore. Sabres fans can rattle off a few teams that they think are rivals, but when you ask the other teams fans they always have a couple other teams in mind.

Teams take on their coach's identity making the most annoying Bruin Claude Julien. I've always despised him. Funny that he was likely to be fired had the bruins not scored in OT of game 7 against Montreal two years ago.

This is exactly why I don't understand why many people think the Bruins are the gold standard to imitate. Don't get me wrong. They won the cup 2 years ago, and deserve all the credit for that, but they needed 3 game 7's to do it. They hardly dominated. They're a great team, but there are others that I would rather model my team after before Boston. The Pittsburgh and Chicago builds win more Cups than the Boston types do.
