well the oilers needed 2 things to start the season a # 1 offensive PPQB D-man filled by free agent Justin Schultz (thank-you by the way we love him!!!) second we need a big body Centerman seems that we could use Getzlaf maybe we could be 2 for 2 on taking good tallent from the ducks with out having to pay for anything...

Actually if you look back at the Pronger trade, we got Lupul, Eberle and Smid (not to mention a first that could have been David Perron or Max Pacioretty). No one to blame but Oilers management for not making out better and what would in retrospect be considered pretty close to a fair deal.
