He hit McDonagh in the exact way he hit Savard, he is underhanded and cheap, why anyone defends this guy is beyond me...go back and look at the video while savard was being tended to, he was banging his stick on the ice when Savard was being carted off then goes and attempts the same exact thing on McDonagh...so after a year and a half he is supposed ot be squeaky clean? please...once a cheap shot artist alewqays a cheap shot artist...like i said the only thing Shanhan spared us was another public statement made by Mario Lemieux...there is one silver lining...

I'm going to go with A) Gravity, and B) The bodies natural instinct to stay upright. But I know this is a Ranger board where gravity, sanity and logic are completely lost.

You're right, logic would dictate that you manipulated your way into two mega first round draft picks after your owner (who himself was a product of a tank job and is responsible for the very lottery system that miraculously gave you Sidney Crosby) threatened to leave town...now thats logic...

Lets not forget Flyers history.

Please stay on the topic in which you dug up. Which was it dirty for Cooke to go silence of the lambs on Karlsson's ankle.

Again why was his leg flapping in the breeze? The only other player I've seen go into a corner while invovled with in a physical engagement with onther players is Subban. He goes in with one foot so he can use his other foot for his love of slew footing. Cooke goes it with his left in the air and stomps on Karlsson's ankle. Clear as day, dirty as hell too.

His head isn't even facing Karlsson so I doubt he knew where Karlsson's leg was, and his leg is up because he's just skating, it's not the best idea cause he could have glided into the boards, but it doesn't look like he did it on purpose. I think I'm done flip-flopping for now.

Actually, he brought it up, saying the Pens are a dirty orginization, and the Flyers are 28th in the league. I think its funny a Flyer's fan crying about a team being dirty, considering their history.

Its funny because EVERYONE, and I mean damn well EVERYONE are saying Pens fans are the least knowledgable, cockiest, and quite frankly the stupidest fans in the NHL
This isnt just NYR and Philly fans. Its Toronto, LA, Vancouver, etc.
Biggest dirtbag fans around are you guys so you really shouldnt be bringing up "logic" ever again, because if its one fanbase that doesnt have it, its you guys

Matt Cooke ended Savards career. He's the reason why Savard is no longer playing.
Since when is it OK to end players careers? And oh ya injuring the past Norris champ!

I'm not sure where I go on this but when you say "name one star player that Cooke has caused Injury to" that's 2 too many dumbass!

Almost every franchise has a black eye or two when it comes to tatics. But can we please get back to why nobody in the world has a concreate answer as to why, 1. why Cooke's leg was even off the ice. And 2. why he planted with such force on Karlsson's ankle.

Easy now. Go smoke the pipe and chill out. You're biased regarding Cooke that's all. When we say he has cleaned his act, he has. Completely. This was an accident. Can't you understand that?Cooke is clean and has been playing like that for over a year.

SO because he's been a complete jackass for about 10/15 years as an NHL player, notably 4/5 with the Pens, so that makes him CLEAN now!?

My god. You have the IQ of a peanut

Stomped Kesler too, 8 game suspension. Plus a long list of other injuries he caused and suspensions. But hey, he's a Flyer, let's focus on Cooke.

Aaaaaaand?
Ya he was dirty. He tamed it as a Flyer and switched to slashing and cross checking instead of boarding/stomping/CFB

I love this, when the pens fans make fun of other fans for their teams not winning. Completely off topic, but funny. Kinda sad though. Again please explain why Cooke's left leg is even in the air in the first place and why he decided to use such force to plant and it "accidently" come down on Karlsson's achilles.

1. He was trying to pin his leg against the board. Hits like that happen all the time in the NHL. See Aaron Ward's explanation from TSN last night.

2. He was trying to regain his balance.
