I was thinking about this today... Could a GM trade for Matt Cooke then not play him? I mean what if Ottawa wanted to make a statement and offered a 1st for Cooke? I get that this wouldn't happen but I could see Murray of all people doing something like that.

so in one league i have smith, lunqvist, and backstrom all playing tonight... im winning all the goalie stats except the GAA but that is close... I reall want to sit them all and see what happens

I really think that unless Bennett blows the doors off the place, this is just a cup of coffee for him to see NHL action, and to get a feel for how he handles himself.

Seto rumor gets started again? Russo is the guy who originally floated the Seto/Despres rumor.

Yea. I think that this is all to see how he has developed and what else he needs to work on in WBS and the offseason. I know we're all hoping he becomes a stud with Sid this weekend, but lets be honest, that's a long shot

I agree. No way Shero trades Despres for a guy whose value is plummeting. Doesn't make any sense. Shero is on record that he won't part with his young D players for short term fixes......if you even consider Seto a fix.

Me either. I think he's become a factor very quickly. Heatley, Clutterbuck, Setoguchi, Hedjuk and Duchene would probably be all on his radar if we are talking Wild and Avalanche

Pierre Marc Bouchard is the fit for the Pens out of all the MIN options.

But we have no way of keeping him. Our D is only getting stronger every year with our prospects developing. He has a very minimal chance of playing on the team unless injuries come around. Morrow, Dumoulin, and a few others will probably see time with the pens next year. Just like Strait and Lovejoy, Bortuzzo needs to leave in order to see consistent time in the NHL.

Shero has a tendency to surprise us all. Could be Cullen/Clutterbuck/Seto. If Seto comes for TK i'll support him.
