People said that about Ott as well. He has been average at best here in Buffalo.
I expected more from Ott. - Smittyx36

ROR is the blue collar type player the Sabres have been dying for
Buffalo would embrace him - rustbelt82
I'm not sure anyone (maybe you do) who doesn't watch AVs hockey on the regular can really say that.

Could he kick the 2nd line into gear ? - cabin
Maybe Foligno but not Stafford. Stafford is stafford.
I said it the past two years that he was a bigger issue then Roy.... I think I was right, some obviously don't. |

I expected him to be a firecracker here and I haven't been impressed. I'm not the only one BTW. I have heard several hockey analyst's say the same thing.
I guess its that he is getting old and isn't as great as a pest as he used to be. - Smittyx36
second in the league in hits as well....no idea what these people or you are talking about. |

Was referring to ROR replacing Ennis. .Staff is an asset if he can get his poop together.. |

Maybe, he did it for 1 year with above average linemates. You guys are labeling him a better Michael Peca. He's proven he can be a good player for 1 season - sbroads24

thats fine if thats who he turns out to be.
Like I said, I like Foligno too, but if you want ROR its gonna hurt, giving up Foligno would hurt but if thats who they wanted Im not hanging up. - Homer

I'm not talking about stats man. I'm talking about being that agitator he was in Dallas. He was one of the best if not the best.
Get under the skin of the guys you play every night! He should be able to since they don't know him as well in the east |

Agreed. Don't set him up for that. We already have Gerbe, who is the next St Louis, Myers, who is the next Chara, Foligno, who I want to be the next Cam Neely (without the injuries of course.) |

Do you watch the games? Or do you just look at stats for arguments?
He is not doing what he was soooo good at in Dallas.
Hits are a part of it but not all of it. |

My guess is that you didn't watch alot of Dallas games to really form your own expectation of what Ott was going to do here.
He is doing what he is was expected to do and is being productive as well. |

define stud.
is a guy when its all said and done probably averages between 12-18 goals and 40-50 points a year and bangs people around a stud? Maybe, depends on your definition. - Homer
Well that type of guy does win Selke's.
See a former player that wore #27. |

what makes you think he hasn't?
I'm pretty sure he agitated Ryan White so much that he punched Ott in the face giving us a PP that we scored on helping us come back.
Weak argument. |

One of my best friends since childhood lives in Dallas and is a big big Stars fan. He loved ott and told me about what he does on the ice that isn't put on the score sheets.
I also watched plenty of Dallas games in the years he was there.

That was one of 2/3 games I saw the Ott that was so great in Dallas. I just expected that kind of stuff on a night to night basis.
