ROR is the blue collar type player the Sabres have been dying for

Buffalo would embrace him

and his "producing" is really doing us a lot of good.
- Homer

Okay so you think ROR can replace ennis's point production and help us win games because of his defensive ability's?

See, I don't see a guy with hands of lead. He's going to start burying those opportunities. He has a heart, unlike Stafford, and that will take him a long way.

I honestly see him as a 15-20/20-25 guy, and with his size, hitting and aggressiveness, that's perfect.

He may be more suited for the 3rd line, anyway.

I like Foligno too, but getting ROR is gonna hurt...giving up Ennis doesnt hurt, IMO.

People said that about Ott as well. He has been average at best here in Buffalo.

I expected more from Ott.

No where did I say that ROR wouldn't be nice here.... I just dont wan give up the only guy not on the 1st line thats producing.
- Smittyx36

I think when you're talking about guys like Ryan O'Reilly, and considering he is an rfa and the Av's till hold his rights, any trade for him would have to include equal value in return, the give to get theory so Ennis would have to be considered in this transaction to make it doable, imo.

I don't think any player on this team is untouchable and if ROR is a player they want, you find a way to make it happen.

ROR would produce and thensome
- Homer

Maybe, he did it for 1 year with above average linemates. You guys are labeling him a better Michael Peca. He's proven he can be a good player for 1 season

what did you expect?

He is about on his point pace, been in a couple scraps, plays hard, plays on special teams, is one of the few plus players on this team and wins the majority of his draws.

I think you have to overpay. The Avs don't need to move him. They can let him sit and rot. If someone trades for him they are going to give up more than fair value, not equal, IMO.

And who is ROR playing with that is making this happen? He isn't Crosby... He isn't gonna be able to put up points playing with trash.

define stud.

is a guy when its all said and done probably averages between 12-18 goals and 40-50 points a year and bangs people around a stud? Maybe, depends on your definition.

- Homer

A 6'3", 230 lb guy willing to hit anything in his path, that goes to the front of the net EVERY TIME, that plays hard every shift, has pretty good hands, is a great teammate, has great pedigree, scoring 15-20 goals and 40-50 points is a winner in my book.

And it's something we don't have, outside of him.

They can't all be Todd Bertuzzi.

5 goals in 14 games is fine, but its not like he is lighting it up. ROR could easily have 5 in 14...PLUS he does a lot more.
- Homer

An assumption. He's done it for one season. He also could struggle

I expected him to be a firecracker here and I haven't been impressed. I'm not the only one BTW. I have heard several hockey analyst's say the same thing.

I guess its that he is getting old and isn't as great as a pest as he used to be.
