yes, I screwed up - Homer
I figured.
But it wasn't long ago that you said they hadn't called, right? The story has changed in the last day or so, right?
I think that's what made it really confusing. |

Agree.
O'Reilly makes this team better. At 50-60 points/year (and that's probably not even his ceiling. He is, after all, only 22) and as responsible as anything defensively, it's a win/win. - Powerslave
id put 50-60 at the floor it seemes he was moving forward and decided to get greedy |

really? A guy that has been playing on the top 2 lines and the PP and has one goal in 13 games is the reason why you'd hang up???? - Homer
I thought we weren't getting hung up on stats?
Hmmm?
Have you watched Foligno this year? Kid (and I say "KID" because, yes, he has made some mistakes) is going to be a stud. |

So you wanna trade away the only guy thats not on the 1st line that is actually scoring goals? I like ROR but not for a guy that we need. Who will replace what ennis can do? No one ATM. We already got rid of Roy.
I personally would keep ennis until you can replace his scoring. - Smittyx36
replace what we need? Ennis is not what we need. What we need is a bigger, skilled center who is tough to play against and can play well in both zones. Thats ROR. Eninis is one of those things, skilled. |

SO if ROR kills one penalty that would have been a ppg which could help the sabres win say 5 more games than a guy who has scored a couple of times? - hubie
Is are PK bad? We are in the middle of the pack right now....
We already have decent guys on the PK in my opinion. We shouldn't be trading away the few pieces that are actually producing. Unless we are gonna blow it up and build. |

define stud.
is a guy when its all said and done probably averages between 12-18 goals and 40-50 points a year and bangs people around a stud? Maybe, depends on your definition. |

Only reason I wouldnt trade Foligno is then youve taken away the only useful hitter on the team. I like Scott and all but ..... |

Ennis isn't a center and I agree that we need that kind of a center. But ennis is the ONLY guy outside of the HPV line that is scoring! Why trade that away? Work something else out. Ennis cant be the only guy worth trading for.

Regardless I think ror still makes us a better team. Might not turn us into a real contender but it certainly makes us better.
I might be being unfair to ennis, but I don't think his ceiling is very high. Size will only become a bigger and bigger issue |

i wouldn't trade him away at all....but he's not the only useful hitter on the team...kaleta and ott can both hit and are money in their own zone and on the PK |

See, I don't see a guy with hands of lead. He's going to start burying those opportunities. He has a heart, unlike Stafford, and that will take him a long way.
I honestly see him as a 15-20/20-25 guy, and with his size, hitting and aggressiveness, that's perfect.
He may be more suited for the 3rd line, anyway. |

I would say form a stats point of view (which I hate) Ennis's ceiling is ROR Floor of 50-60 points.
Everything else ROR is way above. |

5 goals in 14 games is fine, but its not like he is lighting it up. ROR could easily have 5 in 14...PLUS he does a lot more. |

But ROR would most likely produce here so youd be trading a productive guy for a higher skilled productive guy.
Im all for trading McNabb I knwo hes a kid but he had chances to make the club and hasnt. |

No way he would have 5 in 14 playing with stifford. Only way he would have that is if he was playing on the 1st line.
