I just dont think youre offering what they want....id do that deal all day, which means the Avs wouldnt.
- Homer

What do you believe they are looking for?

I would imagine D depth and scoring since Hejduk is a shell and Landeskog is hurt... F'n John Mitchell is their 3rd leading scorer.

I think Ennis gets very under rated by Sabres fans. The is no reason that ROR is rated as a better player. Ennis is a goal scorer and playmaker. ROR has had 1 good season, as far as him being a shutdown 2 way player he was a -1, while Landeskog was a plus 20. He's over rated IMO

I have no idea, but more than that.

or

Pysyk, Foligno +

something like that. Something we dont wanna give up.

No I have not.
What I said was in no means to slur anyone.
There is simply no way the Sabres have not asked about ROR. I dont need anyone on the inside to tell me that.

well they have, so your assumption is incorrect.

blocked... what is it? Is it funny? Offensive? Both? Neither? Is it one of those stupid, overused memes that rarely are funny or barely fit the conversation?

Is it flowers for valentines day? chocolates? fuzzy handcuffs?

damn.....I would think that Ennis + McNabb or Pysyk would be enough

Ennis is a good player and NcNabb and Pysyk will eventually be a top 4 pairing defensemen

Well their problem is not that they don't have salary cap because they have a ton.... I think their problem is that with stastny and Duchene already on the team... do they want to pay 5M for a 2C/3C depending on the night?

I wasn't aware you needed to teach professional hockey players how to shoot. Seems like that should have been a skill they picked up somewhere along the road to becoming a professional...
- Putzfrau

Read the whole post !! It is a skill that goes away if you do not work on it . With our performances against back up goalies it seems we cannot shoot with any accuracy . What are your constructive suggestions . And don't say fire or trade someone . Because we all know that is not happening anytime soon.

Id be upset to trade a 1st seeings as more than likely will be a top 5 pick in a deep scoring draft. Rather go that route than a guy in rfa time

that may be enough as well....

but people are throwing around the usual...Staff, Sekera or Leo and a pick stuff that no team wants.

I stopped reading at "O'Reilly would be a perfect fit for the Sabres coach" . There's the Sabres #1 problem. Finding players to fit their coach instead of the other way around. All it does is speculate that O'Reilly would be great here.

See, I heard it was a roster player and a prospect.

But, if it's McNabb and a 1st (I know you said "start with", but if the Avs can't sign this guy, then they are the ones backed into a corner), then do it.

With the glut of good, young D we have (McNabb, Pysyk, McCabe, Gauthier-Leduc, Mackenzie...I guess you'd have to include Myers and Ehrhoff in there, since both are signed for the next 80 years), and no limits financially (find another d-man in free agency, if need be), I'd say giving up McNabb and a 1st (if that's what it would take) sounds good to me.

I bet the Avs stretch this out to the summer......they obviously want to get as much as they can for him

It will be like Nash part 2
