I hear ya!

O'Reilly would be a great piece to the future of this team, but Stafford needs to go.

- Irish 14

If O'Reilly is a Sabre, I'd gladly pay the price of Stafford still being here.

Problem is Stafford doesn't get O'Reilly, it's Ennis as a starting point.
- sabresfandan

We don't know the asking price? People say top 6 forward and prospect.

Ennis can go in the right deal.

SABRES AMONG TEAMS EYEING O'REILLY?
TheFourthPeriod.com
The Buffalo Sabres are among the teams believed to be interested in Colorado Avalanche restricted free agent center Ryan O'Reilly.
O'Reilly, 21, is still without a contract and the Avs have started to seriously explore the possibility of trading him.

The price tag, however, is steep, as Colorado GM Greg Sherman is asking for a top-six forward and a top prospect in exchange for O'Reilly.
It's unclear how serious talks between the Sabres and Avs have gotten, and it's uncertain what Buffalo GM Darcy Regier is willing to give up, however he does not appear interested in parting with the likes of Mikhail Grigorenko, Cody Hodgson or Tyler Ennis, while though Marcus Foligno could be someone Colorado takes a look at.

The Sabres, currently 12th in the Eastern Conference, would like to upgrade their roster, as Regier has been shopping for a top-six forward since the season started.

Several other teams, though, are also eyeing O'Reilly, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers and Winnipeg Jets.

O'Reilly is looking for a five-year contract worth around $5 million per season.

Not that we have a chance for O'Reilly but if we win tomorrow night, all will be well yet again.

It would take Ennis and McNabb I believe to get it done.

4th period posted that Leafs and Avs in talks for O'Reilly. It's like I said earlier, to many teams are interested in O'Reilly and no way will Darcy bring the best offer to the table. I'm sure other GM's are not nervous to know that the Sabres are interested, they all know Darcy has no balls.

well as some have stated already, stafford isn't going to get that done, but that doesn't mean we can't still get RoR if lightning strikes or something.

the best we can hope for with stafford is he 1.) comes around 2.) some team near the cap floor would be willing to take his awful contract.

personally i'm hoping for option 1, but only because if we were able to add a tougher piece than ennis, maybe stafford could contribute for a change, OR he could go tot he third line and we'd have potentially more scoring depth then we do now.

i dunno, either way, stafford is awful right now and i'm i'm pissed he has two more years left on his contract because that might end up being a long 2.5 more years...

My grandma is just outside Ocala in Dunnellon. That's why I'll be there for a day. I haven't seen her in years.

My Parents live on SW 110th in one of those communities. The best thing I could recommend to do is hit the Bells stores on route 200 and the Outback steakhouse. Thats about it.
