hindsight is 20/20 he couldn't let that happen at the time not after losing Drury and Briere.... 7/1/07 forced his hand.....and whose to say that Vanek doesn't make the oilers that much better and we don't end up w those players......

that should have gotten a GM fired. since then he has been great as far as making cautious moves but yes you are right hindsight is 20/20. buffalo still had a good team 2 years later, we were 2nd in the east.

There is no guarantee Edmonton would have been as bad as they ending up being if they had Vanek. You can't assume those players.

just avoid Carnival and you'll be fine....from what i've heard Norwegian is Wonderful....Still really sucks to be them

No but we also could have used them in trades to acquire other players as well, we would have had 8 1st rounder in 4 years. Could have made some major moves
