Ennis has a .66 ppg average, O'Reilly is running at .45, and taking out last year he is at .33. He's also unsigned and hasn't played in the league in several months now. Ennis straight up for O'Reilly would be risky - throwing in Psysk or McNabb on top would be a poor bet.
I'm all for improving the team and would like to see O'Reilly suit up for the Sabres, but that would be a desperation trade and I feel we might end up being disappointed in what we got back this year.

Not true. He's got all of like 12 games under his belt. He's still a prospect.

they really were hoping connolly would come back from injury and he never could fully get it back. roy always sucked but he did score points.

i always resented him because i liked peca so much better as a player and i kind of blamed him for it but when he was on and before the injury, he was a friggin force. it's a shame really.

And he won't be ready for a couple more years at least, ESP with this turning out to be a lost season for him
He's also been playing on the wing
So if I can move him for a guy like O'Reilly who can contribute right away, then I'd do it
I don't wanna lose him, but u gotta give to get
And I don't think a guy like Adam will do it for someone like O'Reilly

Shame about Peca isn't it, I have a game worn Peca jersey that he signed. I don't like him because he was traded for MOGILNY!

O'Reilly is more valuable then Ennis IMO because of his size and grit, I take nothing away from Ennis but we need to get bigger up the middle. We are to small up the middle and it hurt against the teams we have to play against so much. My opinion however.

half of the problem to me is that eventually i see girgorenko as our top line center and hodgson as our second line and girgensons as a 3rd, but the amount of time it would take to get there is frustrating. getting o'reilly for ennis + mcnabb and maybe a pick would hurt but it would definitely help ease what i mentioned above while we grew into it and would make us much better int he long run.

I'd just like to have them BOTH, if possible
I don't see why ppl wanna give up Ennis other than his size
We are actually becoming a much bigger team than in the past
Foligno, Grigorenko, Armia, Ott...
Ennis is actually the only "small" guy we'll have in our top9 next year
