I know, the sky is falling. Everyone panic and start yelling that nothing is being done.

I'm just as frustrated as everyone else about the way this team looks, but at the same time, I'm not about to just give everyone away for nothing.

I don't want to be the Toronto Maple Leafs.

every trade isnt going to be a major trade, sometimes you need to get players that are responsible and can chip in and help your team especially if you can get that player for a mid/late pick otherwise your just going down the same path while other teams improve

sure devils traded for poni once they learned about extent of zubrus's injury but they didnt sit back, they went and tried to fix up the hole by his loss

At this point, no player is going to change the way things are going here in Buffalo. The only change that is going to help is changing the coach, and well. "Lindy isn't going anywhere."

I'm actually surprised cut by skate injuries don't happen more often.

Being an Athletic Trainer.. This blows my mind as well.. With the padding and heavy socks that are worn. It does help to prevent these occurrences.. Almost the whole body on an ice hockey player is covered duriNg play..

They haven't made the playoffs since before the 04-05 lockout. I don't want to be them.

That's why there's 3 guys I wouldn't give up from our prospect pool. Girgensons, Pysyk, and McNabb. Anyone else is fair game IMO

- HonkFortheGoose

Girgensons might only end up being a "Gaustad-like" player,
I'd trade him before Ennis if its for the right guy
If I had to include Pysyk to get someone like Seabrook (or any other true "top pair" defenseman) I'd begrudgingly do so
No way I trade McNabb
Armia is another guy I wouldn't wanna see dealt

I really don't know why everyone is so focused on the guys we have playing on the 4th line.

NEWSFLASH!!!! They are not the problem!

The defense not being able to get the play out of our end, is a problem.

The relative lack of secondary scoring, is a problem.

Cody McCormick playing on our 4th line, is not a problem. It's the reality of the NHL. Every team has a guy or two that plays the same role that Cody does.

Not to mention that just because a guy was drafted in the 1st round, does not guarantee he is good. It means he used to be good. He could be an absolute trainwreck right now.

- HonkFortheGoose

Send that newsflash to the teams with winning records that thought it was necessary to make trades. They don't share the same disregard to the bottom of their rosters as you do. When good teams see a chance to possibly improve, they try to improve

Girgensons is going to be better than Gaustad. He's got the tools, he's just adjusting to the pros. He was really starting to get into a groove before he got destroyed in a game and has been battling a concussion.

I'm not about to trade away all of my good prospects for guys halfway through their career. Especially if you're thinking about "rebuilding."

They'd trade McNabb before Pysyk. Pysyk is a better skater and is also a right handed shot.

to be fair, lou is one of the best gms in the nhl, so comparing him to anyone is unfair to the other person imo.

Zubrus wasn't a 4th line player. Bringing in Poni was to replace him. So he's not going to be on the 4th line either.

Loktionov isn't someone that's going to have a big impact now. He may never have an impact at all. But that's a move I wouldn't mind seeing.

The point is, those two trades were minor "tweaks" and in the end aren't going to make or break the teams. A move like that on the current Sabres roster would have zero impact. Zero. So it's irrelevant.

true, i'm really excited about psysk after reading scouting reports on him earlier. mcnabb and psysk could work well together but mcnabb is probably likely to be traded if they come to that.

Pysyk IMO is more of a lock to be a good NHL'er than Mcnabb

I wouldn't doubt it. But I think both of them make it to the NHL fine. As a matter of fact, I think they make the jump at the same time and play on the same pairing when they do.

Buffalo needs to trade stafford just as they needed to trade stafford every year he has been here. He flat out sucks. List of players that need to go. Stafford, gerbe , leopold, hecht, leino ,regehr , enroth. P.s ALMOST forgot the head coach Lindy ruff.

You were just bragging about drafting him last night.
