He got his first pro goal in a horrible game last night. He can be a bit scrappy but he is going to be a work in progress for a while though. He is a constant in the lineup so he is getting ice time which is good. Perhap next season he may pay Pitt a visit for some coffee, but as far as being a standout, so far not so much. - Reverend Killtaker

We have Bobby Farnham who actually is a really good pest right now on the team. Imagine Danny Carcillo, without the taking of detrimental penalties. Then we have Zach Sill who is similar Vitale but more of a leader and one to stick up "captain" style for his team mates. If Uher, can sit back and learn from both of them to form his own combo style of both, which is how I envision him, then I think he can have something. - Reverend Killtaker
Do you see Sill slipping in as an effective 4th line center? |

Kuhnackl was a healthy scratch last night. He seems more sound than Samuellson, but he honestly needs to stand out a bit more due to the depth on D. Again, hes not bad, but hes got competition. I havent seen, him hurt the team by bad play so hes doing well in that regard. Megna is a true borderline AHL/NHL player, I can easily see him filling in if a call up comes. He is def. a leader on the team thanks to his experience.
Last night Bennett got tossed around a lot like a rag doll by the way against the Bing. Senators. And I mean that literally. Hes got to get either more solid or more elusive otherwise hes going to lots of bumps and bruises.
Riley (and I am going to butcher the spelling)Holzaphel who got his first fighting major in 307 pro games last night and really blasted his opponent is a guy I wouldnt mind seeing getting a call up. He might be an AHLer but I really see a spark in his play. Scores points very versatile, plays both ends, finishes his checks etc. |

Here's what Tiops says about Megna fwiw....
When healthy has been one of Wilkes Barre's best forwards and is a rising prospect in the organization. Plays at a high pace in the offensive zone and has a lot of poise with the puck. Doesn't rush things, lets the play develop |

He could, but if you remember him in his short stint last season, that is all you are going to get. He really hasnt shown more growth than that.
Really, we are just fine with Vitale they are quite similar skill and heart wise. Vitale is much better at face-offs they are about the same physical play wise, Sill is a leader/energy guy as well. But I dont know if he will be the same player on a regular basis in Pitt. He is a fan favorite here though. |

Sill seems like one of those guys who will be in the organization for years, and be a good leader for young players to learn from. |

Id agree with that. He is one of the better forwards when it comes to letting a play develop he does have good vision in that regard. |

Problem is, in the past hes hinted at wanting his shot to move up, I dont know how long or patient he will be staying in the AHL. If another team in need of a 4th liner energy guy is out there, they might be interested in signing him as a FA. |

Letang & Niskinen are both skating in warmups. I missed line rushes to get the clearer picture, but based on activity would guess Tanger in Nisk out.
edit: Nevermind. Pens just tweeted both are playing. |

Beau Bennett is in Pittsburgh tonight to get addressed by doctors. I asked Shero if he is staying here for good. Didn't say yes or no. |

Get addressed by doctors.... that doesn't sound good. I thought he came back from his injury?

Is he hurt again? Or just making sure he's physically ready to play if he's needed |

Another player would have to be waived/traded to make it happen. |

Tangradi trade and sending down Reese just made room for Letang and Niskinen to come off IR. |

He played the entire game last night here in Wilkes Barre, he was one of the few remaining in the lineup at the end of the game. |

Let's go Pens!
Shame Bortuzzo gets scratched. I pretty much think he deserves Eng's spot. |

According to Joe Starkey, "the 7th-round pick the Penguins got from Winnipeg could get upgraded to a 6th-round pick."
So let's root for Tangradi to do whatever he needs to do in Winnipeg to make that happen lol. |

I said this on twitter, but I think that Chris Neil might have dictated Engelland dressing. I'm guessing he sits in Winnipeg and is back in Buffalo. |
