He got a little off balance and got on one foot and when he brought it back down he accidentally got Karlsson.

Then Cooke gets a misconduct for getting punched in the face 3 times and not retaliating...

That was for his own protection. Frankly I can't believe the stars were out on that last PP with a team clearly out for revenge.

alright, obviously my post was made out of frustration. i don't think he delibertely tried to cut him....however, i do think it was a reckless play (skate off the ice) by a player who has earned the dirty reputation he has.

of all people, penguin fans should understand my/our frustration......does steckel on crosby ring a bell

Dude we completely understand. Look up PK Subban injures Staal with skate. Sorry man it sucks.

I was thinking the same thing. To their credit the Sens didn't try and retaliate against another player. Careless play by Cooke, but obviously not intentional. I see guys doing the exact same thing all the time trying to pin the guy.

Terrible news. That ruins Ottawa's season.

Gruesome. Hopefully he returns and plays at the same level. He's fun to watch.

Yes, we know exactly how you feel. You have a right to be angry. I just don't think anything was done intentionally. It was definitely careless but he was clearly off balance.

hahaha

We feel sorry for Karlsson but Cooke had no intention to lacerate his tendom. I thought it was a play that happens frequently. Unlucky that's all. Not even saying Cooke was careless or anything. Just unlucky play. That's hockey.

Good night you all. Nice win. Now let's pound the Sabres!

looking pretty blatant from the video replay ... he lifted his skate driving Karlsson into the boards then stepped down right on his ankle.

Cooke seemed to have cleaned up his act lately but still a career plagued by classless actions.

Yes but he's cleaned up his act. Also, that's not intentional.

check the replay again and then consider who we are talking about, one of the all-time dirtiest players in the league.

only cooke knows if he did that intentionally. and he will never tell the truth. the man has zero remorse.

He was trying to pin him on the board and everyone in hockey can see it. Look on twitter these are the same guys that hate Cooke.

Are you talking about the actual replay or the conspiracy one of Cooke taking Excalibur to Karlssons leg.

Did you ever ask yourself why the Philly fans are more upset than the Sen fans? Just saying he tried to pin him. Yes his skate was up and when he tries to put his skate down he catches the back of Karlson's skate. Sucks but it didn't happen because we're the dirtiest team in the league.(As you say) It just happened.
