If they are blaming Cooke for that, they all need a reality check.

Cooke should say, dude, management is trying to acquire you now. We could be teammates in an hour.

you're right, it's common for players of cooke's integrity to go into the boards with their skates a foot off the ice. i mean if cooke had a history of deliberately taking out other teams best players then i could understand people being upset, but cooke is such a saint.

Accident. Chill out. We don't like to see a player get hurt but that was a total accident, that's all.

Look at the reply pal, Cooke is looking to the right....AWAY from Karlsson, no way he is that precise with his skate while not concentrating on what he's doing we all agree it sux, but let's not be stupid here

Most of the Sen fans were being okay with it. The Leaf, Ranger and Flyer fans on the other hand...

That said, everyone is going to forget that hockey is a fast game played on razor blades and firmly believe that Cooke absolutely did this on purpose.

Darren Dreger‏@DarrenDreger

As angry as the Sens might be with Cooke, a missed call on the puck hitting mesh out of play 12 seconds before Karlsson injury can't happen.

I love how cooke is the villian by every otto fan yet all the NHL experts have said it was all accidental, non intentional, not cookes fault...

just dont bother to feed the trolls

They still frame it to make it look worse.. It happened fast no intent but the fact it was Cooke everyone is going to jump on this no matter how clean Cooke has played since the big suspension.

He got a little off balance and got on one foot and when he brought it back down he accidentally got Karlsson.

Then Cooke gets a misconduct for getting punched in the face 3 times and not retaliating...

Reality check buddy. Everyone, absent Ottawa people are saying that was an unfortunate injury, but you can't blame Cooke on that. Any hockey person knows it wasn't intentional. Yep, I'm sure a guy that has been maligned, rightfully so with his play, that has changed the way he plays the game, would all the sudden throw that away and do something like that intentionally to Karlsson.

Question, if someone else would have done that, say Joe Vitale, would you feel the same way?

It sucks. I wish him a speedy recovery. We don't like seeing this, but again, you need a reality check.

he was just trying to pin him to the boards.... it sucks we all agree....

edit:
James Mirtle‏@mirtle
If you missed it, @aaronward_nhl had good explanation on Cooke/Karlsson: "His intent is to drive his knee through his legs and pin him."

alright, obviously my post was made out of frustration. i don't think he delibertely tried to cut him....however, i do think it was a reckless play (skate off the ice) by a player who has earned the dirty reputation he has.

of all people, penguin fans should understand my/our frustration......does steckel on crosby ring a bell

And like I said, any hockey player or fan who has an IQ and sees that play knows its not deliberate. That should tell you what I think about Leaf, Rags and Flyer fans.
