So, who does everyone think is most likely to get O'Reily?

I wouldn't be surprised if it's Ottawa.

- PTVinnyMac

I believe so as well......or C-bus....but they will have to sell the farm

My vote goes to the Columbus Blue Junkets.

Well, ultimately, as long as he doesn't end up in the East, I'll be happy. I really doubt there's anything that the Leafs can offer at the moment that would be worth giving up. I also don't think Nonis is a guy that could make the deal happen on this one...

You cant find another time when a player was cut by someone's skate as a result of a hit or attempting to avoid another player?

AND PLAYERS SKATES LIFT ALL THE TIME BEFORE HITS......hence why theres a penalty.

Is this your first week of hockey?

- Fakepartofme

Describe to me ONE similar incident. Since this is clearly not YOUR first week of hockey you should be able to come up with many.

How come a play so ordinary and common, happens dozens of times in every hockey game played has never yielded a similar injury.

Same play, similar injury a cut to the lower leg? I'll be waiting for your example.

I don't think he tried to cut him either, just ride him into the boards and tangle him up.

But there is something to be said about accidents happening with certain players all the time.

For guys like Cooke and Torres, its a reflex. Did his a$$hole reflex kick in? Past results indicate there is a very good chance.

Well, accodring to Melnyk the other 29 teams in the league are jealous of the WEALTH of talent and depth that the Sens have, so, going on that it wouldn't be much more than a drop in the bucket. Right? RIGHT??

I dont really care where he goes. Good player, nothing great. I think Nonis could if he really wanted to, and had a desire to over pay.

I honestly laughed it off when I first saw people complaining about Cooke doing it. Then I saw the clip. That's not a play that happens on a regular basis.

This clip is especially bad:

Why the F was Cooke even out there. The coach should have benched him. You are just begging for problems. What if some Senator comes up and Bertuzzi's him and breaks his neck?

Can we all agree that, regardless of how common it is, lifting one's leg to pin the opponent into the boards with a knee should not be considered a "good hockey play"?

Just tossing this out here: when you've got 40 200 pound men skating at today's speeds with sharp steel blades on their feet, maybe the NHL should consider getting this poop out of the game?

It just lost its best young defenseman. This isn't MMA.

LOL, so far you get the prize for coming closest.

Look at the video above... don't even look at the video. Just look at the picture.

Why the F is Cooke's skate there. I do not ever recall seeing somethiing similar. He doesn't look off balance to me.

Hes so awesome at destruction and damage that he can cut with precision without even looking where his skate is, but rather the complete opposite direction.

I think Cooke would be a perfect blind folded surgeon.

yea, the back of someone's leg is such an impossibly small target, you can't hit it without a magnifying lens.

Well I think the consensus is that he doesn't mean to precisely sever his tendon, that would be kinda dumb to assume. I do think he is trying to do *something*.

I love all these people who proclaim how innocenthe has been the last 2 years... do we really think he has changed?

The best excuse I've heard is that it was a slew foot gone wrong.

Umm... Okay? So it wasn't a REALLY dirty play, just a regular dirty play with disastrous consequences?

I guess that makes everything better.

I'm glad that among all these disagreements, we can still find a way to unite and work together, in unison, hand in hand at the same time.
