I'm wondering if (and I realize it's a huge if) Perry comes to Toronto, do you need a #1 centre?

Or can Kadri be that centre? Kid lacks size, but maybe JVR / Kadri / Perry is enough beef for one line.

Cause Gardiner plays a good calm game, before he got that concussion he looked amazing when playing for the marlies, like he was superior than everyone else or something skated past everyone with no trouble and was a very stable on defense. You guys are just saying that now because he drifted off a bit and is regaining his form, if he never got that concussion hed be with the leafs right now with confidence and healthy mentally and physically

No one said he's expendable but he certainly shouldn't be untouchable...Only suggestions here to day with trading Gardiner was to try to upgrade the center position...

Obviously you dont, kessel proved that. If that guy wants to come here, you offer him the big bucks and sign him. You dont even need kadri to center the 2nd line, carlyle runs 3 lines already and it works perfectly..
