I have to give credit, where credit is due. Voracek is still on top of my list for most likely to be trades, he has really turned it on. Voracek could be the perfect winger to Brayden Schenn. Now we need to find the best compliment to Giroux.

Obligatory 'It's never too late to start playing! ' post.
- BulliesPhan87

Seconded. I was 29 when I started. Played 7 full seasons before retiring to just pick up games and tourneys. Lord willing, I'll be playing in my second charity tournament in Voorhees again this August.

i play once a week as well, and feel great most of the time after playing- aside from my groin/back issue which i've been living with for years so i'm just used to it. in fact, when i'm skating often any physical thing bugging me goes away because i'm focused on the game.

i guess what i'm saying is i don't FEEL old. i can see how well conditioned guys without chronic/nagging injury could play into their 40s.

Just stopped playing last year. I'll be 50 in June. MCL tear , meniscus tear, bulging disc...I can't afford the surgery, I've got two kids going to college!

i have a bulging disc, not serious enough for surgery, but when it hurts, it hurts like a mofo. groin tear that never healed fully/properly. i will stop playing when my wife and/or my teammates pry the pads off my legs.

Money right now is my mitigating factor. We've been losing money since my layoff in 2011. At least M4 can play and I can play in the 1 tourney a year.

Apparently things were at a boiling point. Terrible way to solve a problem but I'd like to know more about how the kid was being treated by the coach. If he was benched because the sophomore was better, than the kid is just a bitter loser. If the coach was intentionally sticking it to him for reasons outside of the kid's control, then I am not as mad about the goalie's decision.

Lebowski is my favorite movie of all time. I go to LebowskiFests when I can. My wife hates it.

Still a loser move. you don't (frank) over your teammates like that. quit the team before you do that. no excuse.

It's irrelevant, imho. There is no justifiable reason for sabotaging your own team. None.

I agree but i would have loved to get back at a few coaches over the years and i am sure they were pissed. Unfortunately being a high school kid who was ticked he probably didnt think about his teammates and if he doesnt already wish he did it different he will in a few years.

You're right, my bad.

Ryan seems to miss a lot of games.

Yeah, he has bee injury prone in the past, for sure.

I wouldn't trade a lot to land him, maybe as high as a third...

Not Kimbi Daniels or Yanick Dupre? They were the first ones younger than me, but I didn't notice until Lindros, either.
- Flyskippy
