You shouldn't make hammarby angry. No one likes him when he's angry.

Devils trade for Ponikarovsky on the eve of a game with the Flyers. I have seen that movie before.

Not a great trade off for NJD. Just saw the news about Karlsson. Brutal. Love watching him play.

Spezza now this. Very bad luck for Sens. Anderson has been the best goalie in the league so far, but Ottawa will prob go in the tank now.

Looking at the Cooke Karlsson check... The only word I can think of is strange.

I can sorta see what Cookie is trying to do, basically just pinning your leg against the body of Karlsson, but the fact that he raised his leg in such a position is strange to say the least. And whether intentional or not he definitely came down on the tendon/back of the skate so how can you determine intent of stomping, it's physics his foot is in the air and its gonna come down. Which brings me back to strange, and Matt Cooke in the same sentence. Along with Karlssons lacerated Achillies tendon.

NHL has already said it's an unfortunate injury suffered on a hockey play. No further action will be taken.

Exactly. Just about any other player and it's clean. Cooke, just two years removed from his last season as a human sphincter, doesn't get the same benefit of the doubt.

That's not a normal hockey play. I've never experienced or spoken to anyone at any level of hockey that would lift their leg in that position when trying to pin someone on the boards. Intentional, pprobably not. Reckless, absolutely.
