Horrible news on Karlsson -- left achilles cut, surgery.

- Jsaquella

Sens are just decimated with injury. Such a huge loss. Feel bad for the kid. Not saying it was intentional, but a strange way t hit someone, and it looks a little like he drove down on the back of his leg. F'ng Cooke.

Definitely careless, but really doesn't seem that he meant harm. If it's not Matt Cooke, I'm sure the entire discussion is "Poor Karlsson"

Always looks worse in slow mo, though...when I first saw the still I was thinking, Jesus, Cooke wet after his damned ankle.

I don't know what to think. It was a really strange way to go into the boards. Looks like he intentionally lifted that skate off the ice. I don't want to think that he intentionally stepped on his leg. But with the history of Cooke, I don't know.

Still doesn't seem intentional...maybe careless

In other news, howson got canned in Columbus today. Holmger's job just got harder.

I think he was just trying to get his knee behind Karlsson's knee to pin him.

Granted, it being Cooke muddies the waters at least.

i just meant bad as in painful

my gut tells me it was maybe at least semi-intentional, but i could also just see it being dangerously careless

Exactly. Just about any other player and it's clean. Cooke, just two years removed from his last season as a human sphincter, doesn't get the same benefit of the doubt.

Absolutely... I cringed at full speed, just seeing how much pain Karlsson was in.

You shouldn't make hammarby angry. No one likes him when he's angry.

Since I thought it happened earlier today, that's when. Obviously I Misread something. Not the first time. Won't be the last.

Point is that cbj seem to have gotten a sharp guy to take the helm, giving holmger one less peer to manipulate.

You just know that earlier in the day one or two of those guys said something along the lines of "No way man I am not wearing the Caps jersey!"
