Seconded. I was 29 when I started. Played 7 full seasons before retiring to just pick up games and tourneys. Lord willing, I'll be playing in my second charity tournament in Voorhees again this August.

I picked it up at 25 (man, those arewere the days), and have absolutely loved it. Hopefully I can get up to speed and play in some sort of league at some point.

of course you've searched for it. it's probably next to the "hhhhhhharm" video we'll NEVER find.

similar to the Nitty goal against the Pens early in the 05-06 season when he was caught looking at the scoreboard. IIRC, it tied the game at 5-5. Rathje scored the OT winner. Rathje.

I was at that game with my son. His first ever NHL game. Pretty memorable.

I also recall that Gange and Forsberg looked unstoppable in that game. Sigh...

Bulging disc is getting me. I threw an open ice hit Sunday night and i am still walking like the old V-8 commercial guy who was slanted.

Nerve pain sucks. I had good luck with rehab for my back. A PT can show you some good excerises to relieve the pain and strengthen the area. As long as I don't play hockey or lift something heavy the wrong way, my back feels good.

Im just not ready to hang them up yet. Born and raised right near ice works in Aston but unfortunately the Watson bros didnt build the place till i was in my 20's so i grew up playing dek and roller. Started on the ice a few years ago and i am not ready to stop. One night a week to try and be young again and then go back to the bar at the rink at make fun of each other for being so bad. Priceless.

Wow, that is one of the douchiest things I have ever seen. If that were my goalie I would have tried to hit him into the open gate with the intent of seriously injuring him.

I hope he paid the price later on.

Embarrased is what i meant. The food is good adn the beer towers are reasonable. My son plays on two teams there and i play in both spring and summer so i feel like i am there way too much. Plus the amount of $$ i spend there with my other kids at the snack bar.

It was nice to see Forsberg at Saturday's game against Carolina. That was my first time actually going to a Flyers game.

I played pick up summer hockey there from 2007-2009. My son's first lessons and first hockey season took place at Aston as we used to live nearer the CB Bridge.

Hell I miss that league.. im in the A league.. on Barnabys. Actually, the C league and A league are the best to play in. B-league is a bunch of clowns who think they are gonna make it to the show. Most of them are college kids who are just looking to trash talk and fight.

it amazes me what passed for nhl goaltending. would be interesting to see how prolific gretzky would have been playing in his prime right now, on a bad team. and i'll never get past beaup's hat. ever.

I thought we looked like a bunch of drunk 12 year olds for the first 5 minutes. then we found our legs a bit and figured out we could play.

If McGinn keeps this up I'm gonna love this guy!
Once again Read showed up and played his heart out.
Finally Schenn and Jake had a decent game. Let's see if they can keep this up.
I had to do a double take to make sure it was Rinaldo last night. Good for him!

I also hate the Grossman / Foster pairing up. I miss Mez. I miss him a lot.
G was definately better this game but I'd still like to see more from him or his line actually finishing. And Briere, my favorite player, where are ya!

I do have to give credit. Both of their goals were nice goals. They deserved them both (particularly the first one). I'm still glad we won.

We are close to becoming an over 40 team. We won the C league last season but cant hang with the B teams. Just lack the speed. We have 2-3 guys who should be in the A league but play down and they make up for 4-5 who are terrible.
