HardHat at it again.... Why would Toronto want Hiller?? he hasn't been a shell of himself since his vertigo issue. .he is benched for a rookie.. and has a 3.69 GAA right now..

and to top it off.. Stafford and his 4M contract.. 0 goals.. will not only get us Bernier who is maybe the second most coveted goalie on the market right now but also the defending champions 3C who is a vital piece of their puzzle..

I'd say keep Pommer. You'd get a better return for Miller. Pommer would be the best to have in a rebuild situation.

i agree mostly. only problem i have is that pommer would prolly stay the capt (unless ruff goes away). hed be fine on most teams as capt but this team needs something different IMO...

if they commit to a full rebuild i think we could look like edmonton real quick (and i mean that as a positive).

I would trade Miller to Detroit for Jimmy Howard right now... I'm sure there are other pieces that would equalize the trade...

I would keep Vanek until a team gets desperate.. I think that they are going to see the NHL's leading scoring on a loser team at this deadline and maybe a team throws a desperation trade out there that we can't pass up..

If not.. we will be rebuilding next year with a top 5 pick in this year's draft and if Vanek is still playing hot... he could be the most coveted option on the trade market around the deadline..

Oh, from what I was told, only the 1st pick was up for the lottery. The remaining 2-14 spots were based on seeding.

This team is a joke. I don't understand how we as fans can se it but Darcy and Lindy can't. Our 3rd and 4th lines SUCK only 3 goals between the 8 players that rotate on the lines 2 from Ott and 1 from Grigorenko.

I don't even watch the games anymore and we are only 5-8-1.. we have played 14 games (most in the NHL) and are still tied for 12th place...

this team is falling apart fast... even if it is not fully Ruff's or the "systems fault"... something needs to be done in order to turn this thing around and it is usually always the coach getting fired.... i would be fine with Regier staying.. I really would.

While I agree with you on Bernier being one of the most coveted goalies on the market, I don't think the price tage to aquire him would be that high. Would think LA would want a young player (low cap hit) + a prospect/pick. Most teams believe they have the answer at Goalie, not many teams looking to aquire a goalie, IMO

Thats been problem #1. The old owner tied one arm behind Darcy's back and told him to fight. He lost bad and instead of admitting defeat he's been trying to right those wrongs by placing band aids all over the roster. (sorry for all the Hyperbole). He never wiped the slate clean. If he signs those 3, who are good deserving players he will be extending the joke that has been the "Post Drury Briere era". Also known as the Briera.

I just think Pommer would be the best one when it comes to mentoring the younger guys. I also think he gets the least in return if he's traded. Not because he's not a good player, but because he's very underrated across the league.
