I agree. I honestly think Paajarvi and Harti can do just this on the Oiler's third line in about two years time.

In the mean time we have the softest team ever assembled... Its rather embarrasing that we get pushed out of our own barn.

The whole team relies on skill rather than hard work and grit. I wonder if the oil could get mike brown from TO to play with eager on the 4th line and then run Petrell as the center.

Brian Boyle has been scratched for like 3 games or something in NY. Maybe he has fallen out of favour with Torts, or maybe there just isn't room for him there anymore. I think the Oilers should have time for a guy like that. He's a huge guy bottom 6 that can win faceoffs and can chip in decent offense given his role. Exactly what the Oil need.

I love Petrell and hope he stays with the Oilers for a while but I don't see him as a permanent solution down the middle. I hope now that Ben Eager is back he will be on his game. He's a tough guy who has the ability to move throughout your lineup if need be, but we need more than that. I think a 3rd pairing of Peckham-Fistric and bringing Hordichuk back would be a good start.

If we played eastern teams Hordi would be usefull. I can't wait for peckham to get a chance. Hopfully he plays like he did his rookie season

Let me just say, I'm very thankful the Oilers do not have to play the Leafs this season. We would be getting thrown around like it's nothing. I like the dynamic the leafs have going this year.

When the Oil are running with 8 defensemen, no. But quite honestly, I would be playing Hordichuk more than that. I would have him around 5-8 minutes a game depending on the opponent and maybe taking the occasional shift with 2 kids. I'm really liking Krueger's style so far but the minutes being given to Hordichuk and Potter are the two things bothering me currently.

Orr is a waste unless he can skate.... which he worked on this summer. Reminds me of how Thorton in Bos revamped his career a couple years ago. He's reliable on the ice and a top 3 fighter in the league look out milan

Since they've shown they don't plan on using him...it makes sense to send him down and bring up someone who will do something...ANYTHING...functional to the team. Let's say PK...just for fun, since one of our PK guys will be watching from the stands tonight.
