He's scored in his last 2 games, of course he's not generating as much offense playing with Lapierre instead of Kesler like last year. He does a lot of little things right that coaches love, he's good along the boards, checks well and plays a two-way game. He rarely ever takes a shift off where he's not hustling and working hard if you watch him play.

For sure, but Bieksa is a proven guy and eats up minutes. Tanev would be less effective playing 22-23 minutes every night IMO. Another thing I've noticed is that AV tries to play Ballard and Tanev with the Twins to take pressure off of them when the Twins aren't matched up against the other team's top lines.

Hadn't really noticed that.

Up to this point I thought they'd been the most effective pair defensively, but I haven't really noticed which lines they've been up against most of the time.

I did notice they were out with the Sedins a few times tonight, but never really thought about why. Interesting.

Three teams in the east. I don't think Gillis would trade in conference but there are a few teams in the west that could use a goalie. Lots of teams could benefit with Lu in goal.

Agree to disagree, give me 2 great goalies and a good chance to win every game even if outplayed. I highly doubt that MG is turning down offers that include top 4 d-men or top 6 forwards so give me the goalie duo over a third liner a draft pick/prospect that won't help us this year. We can add that third liner at the deadline.

Honestly people say that stats in the past doesn't matter, but I think its different for goalies we should just keep playing who has a better history with each team

He hasn't really been that noticeable outside the goal he scored a couple of ugly plays early in the season but his defensive game has improved. As of now, I'm not sure if he was worth that money unless he starts become better utilized on the PP.
