Too bad Phoenix will miss the playoffs...
- Pecafan Fan

Of course, the Devils will too, in fact lottery picks for both, they suck...on paper.

Remember 9:55pm last night when you said the following:

Positives from tonight: Everyone came back to the system. The rails didn't come off after a few penalties in 2nd.

Then everything fell apart? But my observations aren't THAT negative, and I still think they mostly played a good game until the last 6 minutes. Doesn't mean there aren't long term things that can't be looked at by the organization. Also, squander enough 3rd period leads and changes will have to be made...

edit: And where are my negatives from that same post?

I agree with you completely. They did play a very solid road game overall. Then they let an easy one in for lack of coverage. After that, a crazy 2nd goal and the Plekanec nonsense, followed by another pinball. Bottom line, they got 2 points.

Ya take it and move on. A whole lot better than the Sat. fiasco. I didn't think either DD or Cole were all that bad last night either. At least there appeared to be effort on Cole's part.

Agreed. They both showed improvement. And Markov looked good again. Listen, he's old and battered. Can't expect him to excel every game I suppose.

Markov and Subban had some great chemistry on the PP. The shame is that the 2nd unit is just so bad they need to break those two up.

Agreed. And again, sorry for coming off like a whiner. My blog/post (I always intend to make them short and it just doesn't work) was more aimed at what's down the road for this team.

I think most teams have figured out that if they are aggressive with him, he'll sort of panic and make a dumb play. A little like Weber really, not quite as dumb, but same idea. Then again, he was playing with Bouillon on the PP.

I agree its frustrating to watch them blow leads. Especially when they missed a few golden opps and should have been up by 4 or 5 going into the 3rd. Stiil you'd think that a 3 goal lead going into the 3rd would be a lock but they're a few years away from that.
