Don't want to over-react after last night's garbage but I had a few thoughts this morning. (then the smoke started coming out of my ears so I stopped).

1. Seems like Therrien is grooming Lars Eller a little "à la Jordan Staal". Not comparing the two players other than for the role they would fill within the team. Hopefully Lars can take "Face-off" classes if such a thing exists.

2. Point #1 would mean that DD really is the odd man out. Any chance he gets moved by the deadline? Does it depend on where the Habs are in the standings?

3. Diaz and Emelin are really starting to struggle. Emelin hits but is rarely in position. Diaz makes a good first pass but is easy to get off the puck. And it looks like everyone in the league is picking up on it. Attack Diaz' side if he's on the ice. Attack on Markov's side if that pairing is on the ice and look for the weak side winger who won't be covered.

4. Point #3 would perhaps open up a spot for Tinordi at some point? Again, does the Habs place in the standings make a difference in whether or not we see Tinordi at some point this season?

5. Gallagher-Galchenyuk-Pacioretty looked like they made all the right plays at all the wrong times last night. I think with a couple more games together, they'll start to find each other... especially 27-67.

6. Anyone poop their pants when Houde started saying that they were sending Bouillon in the shootout last night? Speaking of Bouillon, what's MT's obsession with sending him on the PP? Why not send out a 4th forward on the second unit? Especially if the penalty is not about to expire!

Remember 9:55pm last night when you said the following:

Positives from tonight: Everyone came back to the system. The rails didn't come off after a few penalties in 2nd.
