The Flames brand has gained a lot of momentum under King and expanded the portfolio substantially. In a perfect world Davidson comes in as director of hockey operations (or similar title) and King stays on as president of the all-encompassing Flames. We need a King type person at the top while we go for a new arena. He has the business chops.

Ken King is a douchebag, through and through. A complete as$hole on all levels. The most arrogant man I have ever met and yes the business side is OK, but besides one lightning in a bottle year, the team has been Sh!t under his watch.

Compared to where? Seems like the GM is given a cap max budget and can pretty well do as they please. Thus Sutter was able to make the moves he made. I'm not sure I can agree with you on this one. You seem to have a more intimate experience though.

I work in the patch and I'm sorry, I dont hire a busboy to run my operations, I hire a guy with experience and know how or my business fails. KK is not a hockey guy... Which begs the question of why Murray Edwards insists on having a media guy running the Flames. KK is not even the first media guy he hired into this role...Ron Bremner was. At the time Edwards even said he wants a media guy in charge to sell tickets.
