Problem was he telegraphed to Parise & Koive that he was coming way out of the net & challenging them to deke him just as th started to skate in. & they did just that. I've watched Kipper enough& you have to go out a few seconds later so they do have so much time deciding to shoot or deke. The kid will learn if he gets the chance. - Kevin R
Do we want him to have the chance? I think this injury to Kipper was the best thing for the organization. Its time to really evaluate what we have. So outside Irving and Kipper, this is the future... Thoughts?

So Taylor down, Kipper two more weeks.
Irving-Macdonald your duo. - Lahey
Which is what most predicted...but when Kipper returns you simply run with him and Macdonald and give no further chance for Irving/Taylor?
What happens to Brust? Theyve got to move one of the tenders... |

All in all the game was the same as we've seen the last few years, slow, full of mistakes and really no passion. Do you remember how hard it used to be to get tickets for the game? Now they're being offered up on Colin's blog... sad. - geta02it

Hes still part of the Calgary Org...the Flames have many options between the pipes right now however they dont seem to confide in too many. Hard to know whatcha got when you dont play them up.
And no, unfortunately I havnt been in the area since I moved in 2001.

Isn't Irving on a one way? Wouldn't he have to clear waivers to be assigned? I'm thinking that he's played well enough for a team to take a flyer on him if he went through waivers again. I'd hate to lose him that way. |

Or can he be assigned because he already cleared at the begining of the season? |

There is a bit of a time gap if Irving or Ramo don't work out. Brossoit and Gillies are just babies, and will need some more time to develop. Not sure about Ortio though, his stats are:

Well, Kipper being out longer confirmed the Joey panick move. A lot of games between now & when we get Kipper back to 100% & hopefully playing at a must elite level. Thing is, if Kipper comes back & we are still lurking for the 8th spot, Macdonald could probably net a 4th or 5th rounder at the trade deadline for a playoff team that may need the backup. If we are sunk by the time Kipper comes back, then he would be good to play with Irv & I see a possible Kipper trade deadline move. I see Feaster rolling the dice with Ramos next year. |

I don't understand why the organization lied about Kipper? I was at the game last night, lucky enough expierence the Top Shelf. Ken King comes into these to address us all. Takes questions and such. About 6 tables of 10 people. He flat out said Kipper was cleared to skate and would be available for Wednesday, Friday at the latest.
Also another little tidbit he said was the organization hasn't paid Iggy 70/80M over his career to trade him at the deadline to help another team win a Stanley Cup. |

But the Fan boys said Joey hasn't played since March last year... I'm assuming thats the NHL (or at least I hope thats the case)... Just saying boys, I hope Kipper comes back and soon and at a level we expect or seriously we will no longer have that smack talk with the oilers fans on the whole #1 pick thing... |

King is a clown... NO hockey sense. want to correct a mistake of the past? FIRE KEN KING! I honestly thought John Davidson was coming home...
As for Iggy, I honestly think HE decides that... if he wants to leave it'll happen. I'd just hate to see a Sundin situation here... |

Thanks Whip, now I'll know what to say when we miss the playoffs, dont make any trade deadline moves & I'll quote this (frank)ing bull$hit as the reason why I'm not renewing. |

With you buddy. I guess what is likely is a Sundin scenario which I think would be the best case & finally get this team to move on & manage like they want to win a (frank)ing stanley cup!! |

Ya, and the "Sundin Scenario" means we have 7 million dollars to spend on enticing Getzlaf to play here. So, i'm not stressing about it. |
