His team is anything but entertaining. The First Niagara Center sounds more like a library on a Sunday morning. It's embarrassing when the only noise you hear on TV is when the crowd Boo's the power play, or the other teams best player. Ohhh wait you can also hear SHOOOOOT whenever they do have a chance at a shot...
I go to about 4 to 6 games a year and the atmosphere is at an all time low.

I have been to 4 games at home this year and I agree. Its embarrassing and pegula should be ashamed. The arena during the drury years was rocking

Catenacci? When will he be NHL ready? Or is he even a NHL caliber player?

I used to hear good things about that kid.

...and has been for a few years now.

I would say that if Pegula has any stones, he'd tell Regier to find a new coach. At this point, however, it's showing more stones from Pegula and Black to keep status quo.

Hopefully some day soon they'll wake up and realize that this isn't quite the hockey heaven we all envisioned.

As far as local hockey culture it is great. The new twin rinks going in downtown. The annual pond hockey tournament. It's heaven in every aspect of the fan culture except the Sabres on ice product. And no one wants to play here.

and to think....

When Ruff was put in the press box last year for a few games we went 2-0-1

- JVince11

Remember, they still played Ruff's system. Patrick didn't just go out there and say "let's do it my way boys". On that, I am more and more leaning toward change. Not because Ruff is a bad coach, but because I think we need fresh air on this team.

How did that happen? Pegula is being shown up by an old fart who is crapping his pants as we speak and only has like 1/16th his wealth.

I'm not getting a Quinn type of vibe from him, though. I think he is as loyal as can be to Pegula and doesn't want to change that. During his last segment on WGR, I'm not sure he's even buying what he sounded like he was trying to sell. The Pegulas mean well. They just have no idea how to run a winning pro sports franchise...at least not yet.

I wouldn't say he's being shown up. The Bills are still pretty miserable. I like that the Marrone hiring is different, but until he shows results, he's still nothing more than a .500 college head coach.

This is true!

I'm a bit surprised I haven't heard as many fire ruff chants as I would have thought.

Those were actually good moves. Wilson was not good, and there was one thing evident about the Bills' linebackers last year: they need 3 new ones.

Its embarrassing. But I cut Pegula some slack because he hasn't even owned the sabres for two full seasons yet. Regardless of some insiders say about ruff staying I really do believe that if we don't make the playoffs ruff and or darcy will be fired.

I know, I just don't like his shifty eyes. I agree the Pegs for sure want to win a cup here but when you have no nuts in your shell its gonna be an uphill climb.

Yup. Wilson was a nice guy but he wasn't very good. Also it proved to me that they are really changing things up on defense. I hope this offseason we resign Byrd, Levitre, get some LB depth and CB depth, and get a #2 WR.

I tell the guys in my section who scream "SHOOOT" to shout the F up. They are Pro hockey players, they know when to F'n shoot the puck.

Love when people BOO other players for being great, I just laugh at the ignorance.....
Last year at Penguins game a guy in my section would stand up and BOO crosby every time he touched the puck. Embarrassing.

Both decent nfl players but both coincided with a team that was on pace for worst Bills D in history and at a few points worst d in modern NFL history. They couldn't have been that good.

I am not looking forward to Ray Lewis and Teddy Bruschi on ESPN together. Good thing I only watch that station when Football is on.

After the Canes game when Lindy sat Grigs most of the 2nd then all of the 3rd, and also had him on a line with John Scott. and played Hecht, Kaleta instead. I vowed not to go to another game until Lindy is fired!

You're the, "too cool for school" hockey fan. We get it, you know so about hockey you've dumbed it down to just sit there till they score. I remember when the Oilers were in town last year and they Edmonton press guy said he has never heard 19,000 people so well behaved.
