ottawa gave up a lot to get him, but i agree that he's a solid player.

tippett is a great coach, but the way he used turris was beyond stupid. he played almost exclusively on the 4th line, with plugs. he's obviously an offensively gifted player, who needs to be playing with quality linemates, but for soem reason tippett wouldn't put him in the top six.........and people wondered why he didn't want to play in phoenix anymore.

I don't think we can say these guys are overpaid at this point. Leopold at $3m is about right. Regehr at $4m should be about right (despite age catching up), but that contract was already established before he got to Buffalo. Myers is on the first year of a 7 year contract so it's too early to say he's overpaid. Now are they performing up to their potentials? No. Weber $7.8m, Chara $7m, Sutter $7.5m, Karllson $6.5m. Not saying Myers is anywhere near these guys right now, but if he can turn things around he could be quite a steal at $5.5m.

Hey I'm fine with him at 23 for his big contract.. Or we could go sign guys like Wade Redden or Paul Martin to ridiculous contracts and have them suck at 30 instead of 23. There's 5 other defenseman that all have sucked this year, not just him

I could see L.Adam turning out like that. When he leaves Buffalo I can see him going to a team and getting 40-50pts in his first full year.

I'm a believer. I'm pulling for him to turn it around as well.

i think myers can definitely turn it around. he reminds me a lot of bouwmeester.....he will thrive when placed in teh right situation with the right players, but if he's not, he will look pretty bad.

It might be. Way too early to tell. The kid is embarrassed right now and he should be. He needs to work on being better. He will be or he should be traded

You haven't seen anything since his rookie year and I doubt his trade value is as high with him being benched for 2 games but I could be wrong. All 3 contracts are horrible as are a few more we have, why pay these guys if the team never gets better? how Lindy and Darcy still have jobs is beyond me. Pegulla needs to pull his head out of his a$$ and stop being a "super fan" and make some changes.

Incorrect. 57 Is the reason we are terrible. No one else. Sekera is perfect. Leo is amazing. Regher has great speed. Weber has great puck handling skills. Sulzer plasy stout D. Stafford and Hecht and Foligno are all tearing up the score sheet. Ruff is using Grigorenko perfectly. Nothing else could be except only 57 is playing bad.

Everything will be fine as soon as Leino gets back in.
