pretty much what you expect when you call off the forecheck for the entire 3rd period.
dump and change is the formula for "take your time scoring on us" - FourFeathers773
Thought they got lazy in the 3rd. Forecheck disappeared...guess they thought the Ducks would just pack it in |

Things could be alot the worse like being the Sharks. Winless in 6, two OT 1-0 losses and 2-1 loss to Preds earlier...6 goals in 7 gmes. And they will be here Friday looking to knock the red jerseys into the stands. Both teams with 2 days off.

Hawks must keep working 60 minutes against the Sharks. Hope Bickell and Seabs keep playing tough. |

Hey, blow me d!ckhead. Not sucking up. Just said he looked good but wasn't clicking with his mates. So Hossa is the problem? Really? Sure thing, genius. Way to go out of your way to not "suck up to JJ." Read my other posts about the kid. He looks like special defensively but he is not flowing with his mates yet. Is that hard to see? Maybe you need to wipe Saad's jizz from your eyes. - Kentxo
wienerhead, you are obviously a d-bag or some junior high kid, ad hominem attack means you cannot support your stupid comments. Hossa doesn't look good.
JJ, is this the kind of board you want to operate. Disgusting, obscene comments from a mindless jerk like this bottom feeder? If these comments don't deserve a ban, what does? |

So, KingB, are you saying Hossa is holding Saad back? And don't call me ad hominum. I'm married! |

No, my statement on Hossa is clear in above post. Reading comprehension is an essential skill. When was the last time Q said Hossa had a special game?
If you didn't see that Saad was the best player on that line tonight and Hossa had a futile night, especially on the PP, you didn't see the game.
If you can't see that Hossa has been struggling with his hands for the past week or so, you aren't watching carefully. Too many people assume it's the rookie; when the tape and stats tell a different story. |

Great. Jeezuz christ. Saad was great, ok? I just didn't want JJ to feel like I was disagreeing because his opinion of my opinion means so much to me. I will make sure to ask you about hockey from now on before I post, or at least monitor my sucking up to the blogger first. Call the mods and report me too, just stop with the "well I never!" act. |

I obviously hit the mark with the suck up comment, had a feeling about that. That's why I posted, when I usually abstain because of posters like you. The man protest too much!
Aren't you a little too old to make those kind of disgusting comments? |

If the hawks lose in regulation, I may end up threatening someone's life. I hate the SO. The jizz comment may have been slightly unwarrented, KingB. My only point was Saad makes great plays but seems not to be gelling with his linemates. For you to accuse me of sucking up to JJ for that means implies that my hockey opinion is based not othe game but on an external....oh (frank) it, this is stupid. Love you! Good night. |

Dude, I've been posting here for a while. I am not that poster. There are 4+ years of posts that support that. And no, I'm not too old. Unless someone made a rule that I missed...never too old to sling it a little. |

The hawks keep winning and racking up points but both line 1 and 2 seem off. Yet they are all still putting up points. It would seem it is pp points then but the powerlay is still bad and inconsistent and they are near the top at even strength scoring. I, too, like Saad bit I agree that line isn't clicking. I would put carcillo back there when he returns |

Excuses from Q
Tracey Myers @TramyersCSN
Q on ice tonight: "I don't know. We had, maybe, a record number of guys who had to get their skates done tonight." #Blackhawks - philco28
To be fair, he was asked about the choppy ice conditions.

No regulation losses in 13 games, I hardly think Quenneville needs to be making excuses for anything. |

Well, considering the Ducks had 17 takeaways to the Hawks 6 I'd say they're pretty fortunate to get the 1 point.
The 4 forwards on the 4-on-3 PP is simply not gonna work. Hossa isn't a point man. I think Leddy should run it, but I don't make those decisions.
Boy it sure is hard to have a discussion on Saad without it erupting. I would say that with three players that like to control the puck and shoo it as much as 19,81, and 20 do, it will be hard to see them "clicking" in the way you usually see a line click. Unless the three of them are all making spectacular plays individually. That being said, I thought Saad was the best player on the ice tonight. Maybe for either team.
Crawford made some huge saves. Huge. pretty much earned the point. And if you think Emery could have stopped either of those SO attempts....well.....good luck with that. |

Overall thought they played pretty well last night and it was an exciting game to watch. The sitting on the lead thing was an unwelcome sight that I hope doesn't creep into their game; saw way too much of that the last two years. There's no reason this team can't keep pressing the issue til the buzzer.
Bickell's hit on Getzlaf last night was awesome. He's been more visible this season so far. I missed the Shark game but it sounds like he was throwing his weight around in that game too; hope it continues. |
