Nugent-Hopkins and that shoulder won't last long in this league, imo, he is a puny little guy, he might be out of the lineup more than in it, I'd be worried about him. Very good player though.

Edmonton should be looking at Orr to protect these guys. Semenko was Gretz's shadow, then McSorley.
Tough guys make room for younger talent. We're seeing it with the Leafs and last year with the Sens.

RNH didnt even look all that great in the WJC....hes good, but hes not that game changer like Tavares was.
he is tiny for the NHL you are 100% bang on...Hall has been a bit injury prone too, he's a lot stronger than RNH though! hoping these guys strengthen up and stay healthy til the olympics at least |

Yeah, if the Edmonton scouts were truly at the Leafs game, they're probably looking at Fraser or Kostka. Maybe Franson because there's been some interest there for a while (they probably missed the boat on that one, though).
Frattin is an Edmonton boy, but I don't see what need he fills and they'd be buying high on him.
The reality is that with all their number 1 picks, they've been very good at getting skilled forwards, but now they're way too undersized and have one of the ugliest defenses in the league.
It's starting to look like drafting Yakupov was a mistake. They should have traded down and grabbed a defenseman or Galchenyuk. |
