They need to at least split the games (2-2), then take it from there.

Rynnas has what 1 NHL start??....I fear this gonna get ugly in a hurry....Nonis better be working on plan B just in case...

I dont think it balances it, and not everyone heals at the same rate. There is also the severity factor, which we can only assume at this point.

and i assume the leafs press release to be accurate lol

everything else is coming from sources who are speculating

They said a minimum of a week, not that he will return in a week. Its could be 5 weeks or 10 days for all we know, but it wont be any less than 7 is all they assure is. Hard to see what you find so reassuring about that. We havent made the playoffs in over a decade, it's a huge risk and gamble to go with Rynnas and Scrivens in a sprint of a season when you have a legit chance still of making the playoffs.

i'm fine with Scrivens starting and Rynnas backing up

i'll just leave it at that. neither one of us are going to concede here

i am just thankful leafs management see it much the same way as i do

more afraid of the canes then the sens without spezza.

lets see of this team toughness can handle the canes big bodies.. and when it comes to the sens.. its going to be finding out if the leafs can beat anderson who has apparantly sold his soul to the devil

Anderson is stealing games left and right, if there is one position that can win a game on their own, it is goaltending.

Unfortunately, they can lose it on their own too as we've seen here the past decade or so.

Just finished watching the video highlight reel of Mats Sundin on Leafs site that they posted to celebrate his 42 b-day (not sure why they did this, but good memories in these clips non the less):

http://t.co/6ijG7Tew

What I always liked the most about No. 13 was the huge smile he always had after every goal, be it his own, or a team mates. You could always tell that being on the ice was almost always a joy for him, and it was almost always a joy to watch him play (excluding the games where he wore a Vancouver Jersey).

Man we had some good captains...

i dont know about u guys, but instead of o reilly we could go after mike richards, we all know it would be hard to grab him from LA, but just imagine Mike on the team, hes like the perfect center we need, leadership, two way player, scores, assists, and plays the game with heart and that grityness that carlyle likes.

Thats what Nonis has to explore. Im just not sold on Rynnas playing at all right now, and still not sure Scrivens can handle the whole load of the schedule in the coming couple of weeks.

I agree with you on Rynnas. He has no business starting any games at the NHL level right now.

I just hope Nonis doesn't panic and trade for a goalie right now. If anything, sign Rolie the goalie to a minimum contract. That said, I think Scrivens can handle all the starts for the next week or two. No part of his game has indicated that he'll blow it, so until he does, I'd stay pat with him between the pipes.

The problem is the schedule. If Reimer is out two weeks, can Scrivens play and play well in a 9 games in 16 nights span? 2 sets of 3 games in 4 days.
