He will see time, probably a couple of games. 9 games, 16 nights two back to backs which are a 3 games in 4 nights gig. - systemtool
oh, so you are buying the reimer out for 3 weeks media spin then? |

well.. they're going with scrivens
for the best imo. he won his last start and saved the day last game. you need to reward that kind of play.
besides.. they are only saying reimer will be out for about 4 games.. and no, i am not buying into the media's twist on the story that the leafs are under-stating it.
all they're doing is trying to get hits.
so for 4 games.. scrivens / rynnas is fine by me. - Dozzer
If it's only 4-5 games I'd say ride Scrivens all the way, |

I seem to remember the Kings did it with B.Schenn who did not have a contract at the time, they brought him up on an emergency basis and signed him to a one game try out contract so he could play in the game. |

I know it can be done, just confused as to the situation in which it would be needed. |

Im not buying the 4 games. The guy could barely stand. You dont bounce back that quick. I hope im wrong, but Im not buying it. - systemtool
i have from knee strains.. and i am nowhere near the conditioning level of a pro athlete.
take it from a guy who has sprained each knee and each ankle 14-15 times each.. i have had sprains where i just mobilized it and was good to go within 3 days and i have had them where i was on crutches for a couple weeks.
sprains can vary in severity.. but each time i felt like i couldnt walk on it when it happened regardless of the severity.... and that was without the weight of goalie equipment on! |

really? hmm.. didnt know that.
ok.. a different look
why do that to have him back up owuya for a week? leave him in juion in his starters role.
i just agree with how nonis handled this 100% is all i guess i am trying to say - Dozzer
Kadri's first NHL game was an emergency call up, but you're right no reason to do that to have him sit on the bench |

Im not buying anything other than its unlikely a guy who could barely stand on Saturday is going to be back and playing goal at the NHL level in just a week. Maybe its 2, maybe its 3. Could be 1, could be 4. Im not taking any chances if Im a GM and my team has a sprint to a playoff spot ahead. |

ahh, well since the Marlies are down the road, this scenario is unlikely but can be done if needed. |

yeah you guys are right
but the actions nonis is taking makes me believe the injury report from the leafs camp is true.. his actions match his words so to speak |

and i think scrivens would be a more effective starter than a guy who has been sitting for 10 months now honestly.
i just agree with nonis on this one. i'll leave it at that. |

thats what i mean exactly so none taken.
sure the competition is heavier by a long long long ways
but so is his overall conditioning over mine
kinda balances the equation |

Who has been sitting for 10 months? We haven't even been talking about a specific player, aside from Conklin whom someone randomly suggested. Make an AHL trade for a veteran playing there if there any. |

I dont think it balances it, and not everyone heals at the same rate. There is also the severity factor, which we can only assume at this point. |

That's the job of Nonis and his Scouts. Im not sold on Conklin. Joey Mac would have been a decent option, but the Flames scooped him. Again, Im talking a goalie to back up Scrivens or share the load until Reimer is back. Insurance for the time being. |

yes he did...But now he's gonna have to do it in 4 games in 6 nights...
Sorry but i'm not as confident as others..This stretch without Reimer could cost a shot a the playoffs.. |

They need to at least split the games (2-2), then take it from there. |

He looked good and then he looked shakey at the same time, He gives me a heart attack everytime he leaves the net to play the puck. |
