Not only did he nearly have a hattrick in the first period (robbed, hit the post, scored) But Dion Phaneuf played amazing last night. Flat. Out. Amazing.

because he's not that good. he's wildly overrated. doesn't mean he doesn't have any useful qualities. and it doesn't mean he's not a top pairing defenceman on most teams in the league.. and can't be a top notch defender with the right partner.

there has been many a bad player to have a good game.

All very talented players, not all of them are 6'3" 200+ but it would only benefit those guys to be more physical and play with an edge. This is hockey. Not basketball.

Dion Phaneuf is over rated like the Beatles dude. If anything, the guy is MASSIVELY underrated. Never seen so much hate for such a good player, especially one who does everything: hits, plays D, kills penalties, qbs the PP, has a rocket, great passer, great skater, fights, CRUSHES people.

Say something enough and people think its true, but whatever. Dion Rocks and is one of the best players in the NHL.
